Excellent condition for age. Does have some small cracks, nicks, scratches in gel-coat, but overall great shape. Boat has been very well cared for and dry docked in garages since a full top off restoration (stringer and floor replacement) in 2002, at around 800 hours. At that time the engine was also rebuilt, hour meter now shows 1225 hours. I have pictures from the restoration job, documenting the work done.
The interior is all original except for the carpeting which was redone during the resto and the rear bench seat cushion vinyl which was professionally redone, have receipts. I have personally owned the boat for 2 full seasons and have had it in heated storage throughout the year, when not in use. Since purchasing I have installed a Pioneer Bluetooth head unit and a 800w Phoenix Gold digital amplifier and a second battery with isolation switch and on-board charging system. The prop shaft and stuffing box (packed with GFO dripless) were replaced last year. The prop shaft is a ARE double taper tip shaft that bolts to the transmission coupler, just like the prop end. Makes any work that needs to be done on the drive-line very easy by comparison. Prop is an ACME CNC cut # 543.
Motor is factory spec Ford 351W with performer intake and carb spacer. Engine oil has been changed at the beginning of each season and the boat does not consume it. The carburetor was professionally rebuilt four seasons ago. Transmission fluid was changed when I purchased the boat. The distributor has been converted from contacts to Pertronix electronic ignition and the cap and rotor were replaced last year. The boat starts, idles and runs great.
The boat has open through transom exhaust with super trap mufflers. It is not overly obnoxious, but certainly not quiet.
At one point in the boats past the rudder was hit and professional inspected and repaired. Some surface cracks were present in the gel-coat that the previous owner choose not to repair. I have the receipt from the previous owner for the repair work. After purchasing I re gel coated the area around the rudder mount, hence the off-white color shown in the pictures in this area. When re-coating this area, the strut (shaft support) assembly was also dropped and resealed with 3M 4200. This boat is dry and all efforts have been taken to keep it that way.
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer Supra Comp of this year. My wife unfortunately does not share the same love for the boat that I have. For her the boat rides too rough, is too loud and generally not a good fit. If this were not the case I would not be selling.
The trailer is original and in generally good shape, with a new winch and newer chrome wheels and high speed tires with plenty of tread. The tail lights have been upgraded to LED and are bright and fully functional.
Since posting the boat has been readied from winterization, the engine oil has been changed for the season and the boat can be lake tested for buyer after deposit is made. The boat is located approximately 10 miles from the nearest access.
Questions
Hello, I am very interested in your boat. I found the exact same boat but in much worse shape. My original plan was to completely rebuild the other boat but you have already done that to this boat. Shoot me an email I would love to chat about the boat.
Thanks
