This was a good running boat at the end of last season. The boat wasdriven from the mooring that it was on to the boat launch where it was pulled out with no problems. It was winterized and stored until now. We started the boat today on a hoseand it ran and stalled a few times but sounded good and strong internally with no abnormal noises. Not sure why it wouldn't stay running but it sounded like a fuel issue. We did not have much time to spend with it and spent only five minutes or so on it before moving onto our next project . The battery is weak so we started it using our jumper box. It is rigged with a switch for dual batteries but only has one battery installed currently. The starter motor was intermittent and had a problem as well. It would crank and then just click and then crank again. I think it will need a starter motor which is an easy job on this boat as it has plenty of room to work. It could just be the connections as well. The engine oil looks gold and clean and the oil pressure ran up to 40+ lbs quickly when it started. We did not shift it todaybut it shifted fine last fall. The power trim /tilt works well and overall the engine looks good. The trim tabs, running lights, bilge blower and interior lights powered up. There is an onboard battery chargerand refrigerator but we did not power the 120VAC shore-power side to test anything. There is a VHF radio in the box below as well.
Cosmetically the boat looks good but would benefit well from a detailing and buff/ wax job. The cockpit decks are rock solid but the bow foredeck is soft in areas. The cushions are in okay shape but still very presentable. The canvas top is functional but not perfect. It does however make a very nice camper back for the boat. There aresome snaps missing and a zipper or two broke . Some zipper stitching is coming out as well. The clear glass panels are a bit foggy and need a cleaning or possible replacement. Down below the cabin is huge for a 23 footer. The v berth cushions are in nice shape and could possibly be newer. There is no aft cabin cushions. Many if not all of the interiorlights work and the head has a marine toilet. With some cleaning and fixing up this boat would make a great overnighter for a family of four or so. Please view all the pictures below this ad to judge the condition yourself.
