We are an RV dealer in the mountains of Western Maryland. You are looking at a non-RV that we took on trade towards an RV. It is a privately-owned unit that was traded in to our dealership - it is NOT something we bought at an auction, it is NOT a repo, it is NOT a salvage piece. We avoid items like those, for the same reason you do - you just don't know what you're getting. But if a customer wants to trade an item like this in, towards an RV purchase...well...equity is equity, and if we think we can sell it, we'll take it on trade!

We've been having a run on boat trade-ins recently. I just sold another (larger) one that we got right before this one. I think it's a "theme" - end of summer, customers decide "well...boat season is over...might as well trade it on an RV we can enjoy through cooler weather...".Either that, or the Resident Financial Advisor declares "you've got too many toys already, something has to GO if we're getting an RV".Either way, we got this Neptune on trade a few days ago and we've decided to put it on classifieds board for more exposure (the last boat is on its way back to Washington state as I type this). It's a neat little boat, and with that 115 Johnson...it should SCOOT across the water! We fired it up (with water ears - we may be an RV dealer but a couple of our employees actually speak "boat"...) and it runs like a champ. All the controls work like they should, too. We're in the mountains, so we weren't able to put it out on water...but it was used this season by the last owners and I don't see any reason (other than the fact that it's winter here) you couldn't simply take it off our lot, down to the water, and put 'er in for some fun right away. The hull is nice and clean and shiny with no damage; the deck looks good; the rails and tie downs all look good. And, the transom looks good with no flex or wobble. The only spots I saw that weren't 100% are a couple small hairline cracks in the gelcoat, on one of the rails (see photo gallery; I'm admittedly a non-boater but I believe that's the starboard side...it's the right side, not the left). They're not deep, they're not wide...but they're there so I wanted to mention them so nobody is surprised. All in all though? This is going to make someone a fun little runabout!The trailer - which is included in the purchase price - is also in good shape. It's a 4 pin vehicle plug and has no surge mechanism, so it doesn't have brakes on it. The rails look good, it's nice and straight and clean, and the tires actually look pretty decent as well.This is a neat little setup here...and since we're at the "wrong" end of the season (and, we're not a boat dealer to begin with)...this is a great chance for you to get a great deal! We will start engines, with a proper water hookup, and we will check over hulls, decks, and cosmetics, but we do NO perform any official inspections and we are not able to put anything in the water - we're in the mountains, and there is no body of water nearby. If we see anything that looks amiss, it will be discussed in the ad, and photographed for you to see.
2. We are able to perform state safety inspections on watercrafttrailers, and that is all.
