Unique Boat that I built over 5 seasons.I took a 1989 266 Sunrunner and removed the twin Volvo Pentas.
Then I put a $4000 solid platform Armstrong bracket on the back. Engineered for 24" centers.
Powered with twin Yamaha 250 HP ox66's (2000) that I won on an auction and worked out their kinks. About the motors;
(s250txrw and s250 txrx)
200 hours estimated
New Computer & Stator on port motor. Just to make sure engines were running to OEM specs and rule out any problems, both motors received; New O2 sensors, thermostats, low pressure fuel pumps, internal anodes, poppit valves, VST filters WITH gaskets.
Yearly maintenance, water pumps changed, tilt trim motors cleaned and protected, all grease points lubes, including lower unit grease nipples. Winterized with rich mixture and power heads shrink wrapped.
Ask around and you will learn that these motors are bulletproof. The Yamaha Ox66 was the high point of classic two-stroke-cycle engine development, mainly due to the use of a modern, multi-sensor, closed-loop fuel injection system, something not seen in other two-stroke-cycle engines.Put this together, you have a 500hp cruiser with an aft cabin that does 40 knots across the bay and can go in shallow water :)FYI;
Hydraulic steering, all gauges with fuel monitoring, over sized remote oil tanks, dual controls, stainless props. All electronics work, no rats nest:). I have all paperwork, clean title, registration, receipts for much of the parts/work.You either want this boat because it is a unique bay boat or the power system (motors are worth $7500 by themselves) or piece it out for profit; Do the math any way this is a good deal. I priced it to move fast because breaking up is hard to do, I am going to miss her, but I am 6'2 and bought a larger boat and can't keep 2. Free storage till May.UPDATE : I have received many inquiries regarding the boat and many of them are interested it's unique design and not parting it out. Thank you, it is a huge compliment! Consequentially, people interested to learn about the cabin wanted to see interior and unfortunately I do not have pictures. This is what I can say about cabin; All cushions are in great shape. I removed kitchen and cabinets because i found it that it wasn't really functional for size of boat. The plan was to install custom millwork pieces to store camping gear, towels; i.e. almost like a little utility storage so everyone's bags were not all over the place. The aft cabin is in great shape, no mold. So with the news that there is some cosmetic cabin work to be done in the cabin that can customized to your use, I can say that I made a custom Canvas with Sunbrella Fabric, Strataglass windows and custom bars Bimini bars bent for the boat. This cost me $1800 in parts, $1050 in labor and $500 for a Juki sewing machine. lots of sweat equity here. this was like a $6000 job that I did for half of that. See Arial picture that shows canvas.Realistically, a good season of detail work and minor customization and this boat will be the ultimate bay boat....
