I have up for sale my 2001 Sugar Sand Tango 175HP V6 Jet Boat. I purchased this boat in late 2009 and was able to use it quite often for about a year or so. Then I started having issues with the engine, I took it in to a great boat engine rebuilder. He completely tore down and rebuilt this engine from top to bottom at a cost of $1,800. At that time he said to mix oil with the gasoline instead of using the engine oil system, which I have done since. I have not had any issues mechanically since but have also not had much time to enjoy the boat for the last four years or so and it has sat out on my boat lift since.

I pulled the boat and have it in my warehouse in preparation for sale. We put fresh fuel and oil in the tank, cleaned the plugs, put a brand new battery in it, and had the carbs cleaned in preparation since it hasn'tbeen run in a couple years. It fired right up no problem, you are not supposed to runthese boats for long out of the water but we attached hose to the water system and ran it for about 20-30 seconds to make sure everything was running properly.

As I said this boat has been sitting for a couple years so it should be completely gone through before use. The steering cables seem to be stuck from sitting for so long and will have to be checked out. I have started the auction at a very low price,less than it cost me to have the engine rebuilt. This boat would be a great project for someone to restore or just get it mechanically sound and have a blast with!! Please remember that this boat is not perfect and has been out in the elements, it comes with a cover and a Bimini top, but one of the mounts is missing. The Bimini and the cover have beenstored outwith the boat as well and are not perfect.

This is an outstanding deal for someone who can put a little work into it and have a super fun boat for half price!!!
