Starcraft Ski Champ

This is one of the cleanest and mostoriginal1959 Starcraft Ski Champs around. I purchased the boat from the original owner at a estate sale. The previous owner worked for Starcraft and purchased the boat new. To start, this boat does not leak a drop of water. It can spend a weekend on the lake and be bone dry by the time I take it out. The dash isoriginal alongwith the speedometer and dash plate. The wood is in great shape and was recently stained and sealed. The seats are wood with removable cushions that arecompletely functional and still look great. The benches were also stained and sealed. The backrests could stand to be replaced but work fine as is and I am sure would last for years to come. The transom is rock solid withabsolutely no rot what so ever. It was also recently stained and sealed. The chrome on the boat is in near perfect shape along with thewindshield. The boat has functional lights and a horn which is located under the front bow light. I rewired the boat with a modern fuse panel which accepts square fuses. The inside of the boat is sprayed with a factory grip coating that is showing a little wear but is still nice. The boat comes with a 25HP Johnson Seahorse short shaft that has been gone through. It has a new water pump, ignition points, fuel pump, and fresh lower unit oil. The prop is in good shape, and I recently installed a planer fin. It runs good. It has electric start and and alternator that is not installed. I do not have a key mounted on the dash to start the motor, I always pull started it. It can be wired to a switch but also has a push button starter on the motor itself. Included in the sale is a 40 hp Evinrude Lark Four Short shaft that needs to be gone through. It is a retro motor that would fit the boat well. The trailer for this boat works great. It has good tires, bearing buddies, and LED lights. It will pull down the highway 70MPH no problem and I would not hesitate to drive across the country with it. The exterior of the boat is in good shape with no visible dents. The exterior has been painted at some point and is showing a little wear but not bad. The boat still looks great on the water. I liked the natural patina so it did not bother me. The boat is currently registered and will come with a registration card and a bill of sale. The boat gets attention everywhere it goes and is reliable fun all summer long!
