If you are looking for a Starcraft 18' aluminum fishing boat that is Rock Solid, I am selling my boat mechanics personal boat, as Lee is purchasing a 22' Boston Whaler.
This boat was done right and was restored in many respects to better than new, based on the products available today. ALL the wood was gutted out of this boat and brought down to the barehull. The New Transom is dual laminated 3/4" marine grade plywood epoxied with West System. Next, the entire interior of the hull was pressure washed and EVERY rivet below the floor was wire wheeled and acetoned prior to an application of Gluvit Marine Epoxy. Once the hull was prepared the floor was cut to size and fitted. After fitting the floor was removed and then coated with 3 coats of West System epoxy on both sides and all edges. Next, the water logged foam in the center well was replaced with closed cell pink board, all good foam was reused. PVC drainage pipe was added under the floor below the foam and above the stringers to add in drainage from the bow to the stern. The floor was installed using rivets exactly like the original. With the floor installed Lee added a primer epoxy for the "UltraTuff Non-Skid Deck Coating". The Ultra Tuff Deck Coating was applied using a ceiling topper air hopper gun. The side gunwale boards were cut and painted along with adding new carpet to the gunwale storage area. The front V berth was re-carpeted and reinforced as needed. The boat was restored in 2014. The convertible top side curtains were replaced in 2016 and at the same time the entire top was re-stitched. The boat has a good Lowrance with DSI and a standard horizon VHF radio. No feedback single cable steering, manual (electric) bilge pump, heavy duty GRP 27 marine starting battery, passenger side back to back seats with storage and driver side single seat with swivel. The boat is powered by a 1985 90hp Johnson that is in perfect running order. The trailer is an EZ Loader that is also in very good shape. The only thing that this boat would need is to have the windscreen replaced on the drivers side-its a little cloudy.
The boat is Rock Solid and will make someone a wonderful boat for fishing or pleasure. Any interested parties are welcome and encouraged to have a personal inspection and water test prior to purchase.
Questions
Was interested in seeing if boat is still listed for sale. I would be interested in discussing further if it is. Please advise.

I have a '69 Offshore V 18 that is leaking heavily. I just acquired if from an older couple who claim it never leaked. I am hoping to find he leak and repair it. I am expecting I will need to remove the floor and re-do. In your description, you said "Next, the water logged foam in the center well was replaced with closed cell pink board, all good foam was reused. PVC drainage pipe was added under the floor below the foam and above the stringers to add in drainage from the bow to the stern."
Do you have any pictures of that process. I'd like to see how you usd the PVC pipe.
Thanks,
Jim Walker
