Starcraft Islander

This is my 1974 Starcraft Islander 21.5 Cuddie Cabin boat. I inherited this boat five years ago and had good intentions of restoring it but never found the time. It meant a lot to me as it was my dad's boat and while he used it very little, we did have some good times on it. Now it is time for me to move and I just don't have the time to complete it. I had started the restoration and have acquired some of the parts for it and it will need very little to complete it.I stripped the interior down to the plywood floor and was going to install some new indoor outdoor carpeting. I have some aluminium fuel cells to install where the old steel ones were located. I also have new neoprene floats that are ethanol friendly. I had all the side panels/seats/read deck pad and dog house reupholstered. I had planned on repainting the boat above the waterline using a roller and brush tip method which I had done before with excellent results.Two years ago, I started and ran the engine and it ran well. The lower unit had some freeze damage and needs to be repaired or replaced. The bellows also need to be replaced.I have purchased both Lower and Upper drive units with new bellows and new Gimble Bearing for $2300. I am selling those items in a separate auction. If the purchaser is interested in these items, I would consider including them if the bid exceeds $1700. Please contact me if this is your intention and I will modify this auction to include those items.The trailer is good and is in solid condition. The brakes are not whole and would need to be replaced including backing plates. The tires and wheels are new. The bearings were repacked and new seals installed. With the exception of the trailer brakes, the trailer is worthy of any road trip.When my father purchased the boat in '74, Massachusetts did not title boats so I do not have a title for it. The title for the trailer was lost years ago. I have owned the boat for a little over five years and can provide a Bill- Of-Sale only for both boat and trailer. As stated above, the new in the box outdrive and associated parts will be included if the bid exceeds $1700. Otherwise, the boat, trailer, and new interior will be sold without reserve.I
