1997 Malibu Sportster Ski And Wakeboard Boat

This is a great boat for the competition skiers and wakeboarders as it has the unique Malibu Wedge. When down it puts 1000 lbs. of downforce on the stern creating a huge wake. The boat has always been under cover and stored in a boat house and when I owned it under a carport. Fiberglass is in great shape and is beautiful as only Malibu and other top echelon boats have. Interior is in good condition with the usual nicks here and there and a couple of fin scratches but vinyl is still supple. I had a custom bimini top made for it out of Sunbrella. Engine is the Indmar 350 Chevy and has a new carburetor added a few years ago. Idles and runs great. Has a flat spot that can be tuned out but it's well above what you need for pulling pro and recreational skiers and of course wakeboarders. Trailer has a new tongue, new wiring and a new jack (not shown in photos as it just came in). Trailer tires are good. Some rust on trailer which if hauling this boat a lot should be addressed. Does not come with a spare. We have loved this boat for its superior power, great wake (flat for skiing, tall for boarding) and with the new carb it idles perfectly and hauls. This is a classic closed bow (great ski storage, superior wake) and unlike boats with towers it will fit in your garage. The swim platform is solid teak and in good condition. It also comes off easily for storage. The color is a light beige with forest green and a burgundy pinstripe. It gets lots of complements, sounds great and is a Ferrari on the water.
