Sonic Spitfire

Classic Sonic Spitfire performance boat that is ready for repower to be in original condition or a full restoration. The vintage Donzi Facebook page indicated that Sonic purchased the 24 ft. hull mold from Donzi in their start up years. this 24 ft mold was used to make a center console in both I/O and outboard models. The hulls were also used with a closed deck cuddy cabin configuration which is the cuddy Spitfire model. this boat is the Spitfire model which is a bit on the rare side when looking for vintage Sonics. The cool part is it is made by Sonic but the hull is really a Donzi design so performance and speed is a given.HULLThe hull is in good condition with the normal dings, scratches, and fading of a vessel of this age. The decks appear solid with the exception of a small soft spot just forward of the engine compartment on the fuel tank hatch. The original deck cushions and seats are also included but were not pictured as they bare still in storage. The cabin space is in original condition and is full serviceable. The transom appears solid and the stringers are sound.MOTORThere is a MerCruser 260 / 350 cu. GM motor inn place however it is seized from extended storage. The transom assembly appears sound. There is a Alpha One Gen. 1 outdrive on the vessel that appears in good condition. All other mechanical components are in place.There is NO TRAILER in the sale of this vessel. Transport can be arranged by a hauler of your choice.
