I just bought this 1968 Skipjack Flybridge 20' Cuddy Cabin Cruiser from a neighbor, a retired Los Angeles police officer.
He kept the boat in storage for 10 yearsI wanted to finish this boat, but a change in my job situation forces me to sell it
The hull is fiberglass. The boat used to have a Ford 302 engine and Volvo Penta outdriveSkipjacks are built very tough. The Skipjack company is in Hesperia, CA, they have spare parts. The trailer works--I used it to bring the boat to my place. It has 5 alloy wheels, Ford Explorer type. The winch looks a bit rusty and there is a need to replace the jack/trolley.The boat comes with a swim ladder and a pouch to hold live bait. Andlifejackets, flares, and more. There is a need to put 2 seats on the Flybridge. I got rid of the old ones, which were beyond repair.
Walmart sells good boat seats that would fit perfectly, $50 a piece + $20 for each mount. With a couple of week ends of work, this will be a fine boat that will work for many years. Many Skipjacks from the 60s and 70s are still on the water, selling for high prices. The above description is my honest, non professional assessment of the condition of the boat.If you live in Southern California and are sincerely interested in the boat, come to see it, with your mechanic or a marine professionalI you live far away and need more photos, just let me know and I will post them.
I will be glad to answer all question. I have 100% positive feedback and classifieds board and intend to keep it that way, therefore I am selling this boat in complete transparency!
Cash only, boat is sold as is, without any warranty. Registrations of boat and trailer are current (2015 sticker on the boat)This boat is for sale locally also, therefore I reserve the right to terminate this auction before the due date.Happy bidding
