Read all the way to the end before bidding. Accessories added to the boat are NOT included in the auction price. They can be purchased separately by the winning bidder/buyer of the boat for the prices listed below. If they are not purchased by the buyer of the boat they will probably be listed separately on classifieds board at a later date.
The 2001 model Ski Nautique is a popular boat for wakeboarding. Even though it was originally built for water skiing, wakeboarders found that it could be transformed into a great wakeboarding boat by the addition of ballast, usually in the form of fat sacs. Searching wakeboarding forums on the web will reveal many wakeboarders who have done just this and created a wakeboarding boat for a significant cost savings over buying a boat made specifically for wakeboarding. Start with a Google search of the words: ski nautique 2001 model wakeboarding. The URL below was just one of many hits I received using those words.

This particular Ski Nautique was one of two boats featured in the YouTube video Villon Vision Wakeboarding Tyler Wilkinson which can be viewed at the URL below.

SeaDek was installed on the engine cover and the wooden seat/boxes made to enclose the fat sacs. This boat is featured on the SeaDek website.

The attached pictures include pictures taken in 2016 (pics 1-4) and pictures taken this year (pics 5-12).
As you can see, this was a sharp boat in 2014. When we purchased it in 2016, it had engine problems. It required engine work to unstick a piston and the exhaust manifolds were replaced. The engine runs strong now. We are selling the boat because our son who used to love wakeboarding went away to college and is now more interested in fishing. Last year, the transmission started giving us trouble -- it will require repair work before the boat can be used again. A friend who has a ski boat from the same era and with the same engine had a similar problem with the transmission. He took it to a shop in Tampa, FL that specializes in boat transmissions and had it repaired for about $700.

The steering cable and helm were replaced in 2017 at a cost of over $750.
There is a soft spot in floor at the front where the rear facing passengers feet rest. The remainder of the floor feels solid.
The wooden seats/boxes that were built to cover the fat sacs were not waterproofed and the wood has started to deteriorate. They WILL be included in the purchase of the boat. The new owner can remove the SeaDek and stainless steel hinges, etc. for re-use and use the old wood as a pattern for new boxes when they become unusable because of the deterioration.
The included boat trailer. Both trailer wheel hubs were replaced within last two years. The trailer rails are rusty but remain solid. The boat trailer bunks were re-carpeted last year using stainless steel staples. The trailer side steps and leaf springs will require repair due to rust.
