Solid boat, current photos. Used as a liveaboard 3 years ago, but I have now become a dirt dweller and nolonger have a need for a boat this size. The Port engine is not rebuildable and needs to be replaced. The chair and a half in the salon is a single sofabed. The starboard engine is working as the boat was unwinterized and recomissioned last week. The marina pointed out a small crack in the seam at the top of the fresh water tank and it appears the bathroom sink drain may be clogged (I will update if I can clear it). That was the only feedback I got from the mechanic when recomissioning.
Original fuel tanks, fresh water tank, and head. Note that the holding tank for the head is built in such a way that it is almost a porta poty and functions like a small holding tank with pump out. The boat has dual 30 amp power connections, cables included. The second circuit was added by the previous owner to support the air conditioners; both airconditioners work.
Any description is done to the best of my knowledge, but it has been over a year since I have been on the boat other than to clean it.
This boat is AS IS WHERE IS.
Simrad Go9 chart plotter with side scan sonar (single thru-hull aft of keel, forward of props)
VHF (but need antenna)
Hot and Cold pressurized fresh water system.
Norcold Refrigerator.
Battery chargers: single charger for house, dual chargers for engine batteries.
Known Issues:
Port engine has all the pieces but the block is damaged beond rebuilding.
Forward hatch replaced 3 years ago but leaks at handles, there are snaps but no canvas to cover this.
Aft hatches have been rebedded in silicon with 3M 4200 over the seam. The 4200 sealant seems to be breaking down but there is no leaking around these hatches.
Bracket to retain anchor pulled out next to windlass. Tape is covering holes.
Windlas worked when I bought the boat 4 years ago but has not had power applied/connected since.
Trim tabs worked when I bought the boat 4 years ago but has not been tested since.
Fastening of flybridge seats leaks to salon below. Must keep canvas over helm. Canvas is older but mostly intact: see pictures.
Fresh water fill connector is broken off.
Anchor light is disconnected waiting to be re-installed.
There is a new Whale Gulper pump for head but electrical connection has no power.
I installed an oak plank on the front of the helm so that the bimini could be placed forward and not aft. Originally, the anchor light was in the way. The plank is long enough to remount the anchor light and any other desired electronics. The TV has a wooden bracket allowing it to hang in front of the starboard salon cabinets. The Whale Gulper pump also has a Y valve so that it can function as a bilge pump (once electrically connected). The Y valve can be locked out for environmental considerations. The prop shaft was packed and adjusted 3 years ago with teflon packing material. The packing would drip while under way 2 years ago. There is currently no static drip and may need adjustment. Under the cover on the aft deck is the original sofa/bed from the salon. It fits exactly in the salon with no space on the sides if desired to bring inside the salon. I was considering throwing it in the dumpster but never got around to it.
Note, this listing has been cancelled several times by classifieds board, I do not know why. Hopefully this one holds water. My appologies for any confusion.
Questions
Are you looking to just rehome her? Just $1?(plus title transfer, crane & splash fee if you have it on the hard, whatever else you might neef)
We would love to take her. Slip waiting in MD and heading to Oriental NC to weld up an old Cecil Bowden 1968 steel DIY Aussie mess. Would be perfect to run around for parts n materials and a great place to stay while working down there.also that rusty steel hunk is my husband s dream boat, yours looks more my speed. I grew up on boats like that. Once jumped off one same model as this, one half mile out off the coast of Delaware south of Dewey in the preserve, I thought I caught a glimpse of my now husband Adam cotter on the beach. Swam thru tropical storm surf with tide coming out at 3am, it was him. He drove a rusty piece of shit you could see light thru back then too, VW Westfailia. It was stuck in the sand down to the axle right next to him.
Anyway we would treat her well. We power wash hulls and ozone cabins, stone cold mold killers.
When could we come and pick it up? I'm free Monday or Friday
Thank you
Heidi Cotter
