1985 30' Sea Ray Weekender with twin Mercruiser 350 inboards (gas)
1985 30' Sea Ray Weekender. Other similar 30' Weekenders are selling for $14K-$20K online, would consider a trade for 24'-26' center console plus cash or antique car plus cash, or save thousands on this one as we have another boat we want to buy but need to sell this one first. Nada value without extras we've done is $13,700 plus the arch and other things we've had done custom and having repowered one of the engines push her value to well over $16,000. She's been great for us for about a dozen years. :) Make an offer and enjoy her this week! :) Had the engines checked by the marina mechanic this summer when we pulled her out of the water so she's ready to go back in having justbottom sanded and painted.Twin 350 Mercrusier engines - one rebuilt a few hundred hours ago, the other still runs strong and should plan to have some work done to her eventually as you budget to be safe, so far so good though. :) Don't want you to have surprises, she's in good/fair condition for her age but given her age there are normal cosmetic blems and she needs some work as any boat this age would, so bid appropriately with your budget in mind to get things done. To make her cosmetically really nice could use probably $500 - $1,500 of teak refinishing and some new vinyl, etc. (small things that we're OK with but someone else may want to do - and only a fraction of that if you do it yourself on some nice days or over the winter).
She has the extra wide 11' beam compared to the skinnier boats today that aren't as roomy. Full kitchen (alcohol stove, sink, hot and cold water, microwave (normal one sitting on counter), small fridge, fullelectronics package and custom metal arch we had installed, perfect for family fun or fishing for stripers. We've maintained the boat well and she needs her teak refinished and some of the vinyl could be replaced as it's faded and on the bench seat wearing through (we replace it every 5 years or so - is OK for now but will need to be redone - no rips except one couple inch one, just some wear). Has full canvas but will need to be replaced in a season or so, we rarely use it. It's an older boat so has the usual nicks and wear and needs things done that are typical for one of her age. If we have to do them then the price will be going up so you can save money by doing them yourself. She's in dry dock in Boston, MA and can be seen there by appointment. We sandedand painted the bottom and installed new zincs. Boat was owned by a retired US Coast Guard person before me for many years, believe we're the third owner. He used to take trips with it between FL and MA to have it here in Boston for the summer. Been a solid boat for me for about 10 years. We're moving so need to get her a new home and a smaller one for us or we'd keep her, love this boat, lots of great memories. Last survey was done when we bought her so don't have a current one but there weren't any soft spots, etc. and still aren't as of our inspecting here when we pulled her out of the water. We've never had a trailer, always kept her at the marinas and gotten places by taking her on the water there. :) We tend to cruise along between 16-20 knots depending on cargo. Been taken care of and stored each winter at Boston Bay Marina with full shrink wrap, etc. and professionally winterized and maintained by them for us. Full electronics (Radar, fishfinder, chart plotter, GPS, etc. by Raymarine - an all in one C-series unit that we had installed a few years after we bought it) that's mounted on a custom arch we had installed. Full working head and shower in the cabin (sink too but could use a new faucet), we installed a hot and cold water shower in the back transom area plus the one already in the head, inverter to plug in a blender and air blower to inflate our floating trampoline and other toys, windlass controlled from the dashboard, custom arch has a bunch of fishing pole holders and flag holders (you may have seen us cruising around Boston harbor area with a small US flag on the bow and two big 3'x5' ones above the transom - lots of people know the boat by that), deck lights, table that converts to a bed, master bed with curtains in the bow, boat sleeps 4 comfortably, fridge, stove, microwave, fishing pole holders, full transom withdavits and a flip down ladder, etc. Boat comes with everything you need to be on the water safely (flares, fire extinguishers, life jackets) so you're legal for Coast Guard inspections. Since it was owned by a Coast Guard person they know the boat and don't stop us for inspections like they do other boats. Always a bonus. :) We need to get her out of the winter storage marina and were going to keep her but just decided we need to sell her since our normal summer marina closed and the only mooring we could get is for something smaller (a 26' boat we want to buy). Please only serious inquiries and cash buyers. No soliciters please. We reserve the right to end the auction early, have her for sale locally, delete/ reject any offers from bidders who aren't rated, rated high enough, or known to us, etc. Please only bid if you are serious and have inspected the boat in person ahead of bidding as sale is final / as is / where is. Boat will need to either be removed from current location within 5 days of winning bid or Buyer will be responsible for storage fees. $500 non refundable deposit due upon being thewinning bidder. We've triedto be as accurate aspossible, please see pictures and expect blemishes, wear, etc. given the age of the boat. Good luck! :)
