This is a 1997 Sea Ray Sunsport 280. The original owner was my grandfather who sold it to me spring of 2016.Boat: The boat is in great shape. The boat was lift kept during the summer and kept in a barn during the winter. The past 3 years the boat has only been put in for the weekends then put on a trailer during the week since the bottom is not painted. The boat has minimal dock rash especially considering its age and the boat still cleans up nicely with a little de-oxidizing compound and some wax. Head: the boat has a flushing head, I don't believe it has been used in 10 years but it was working when last used, I just didn't want to deal with it and we don't stay overnight on it so I never de-winterized it when I began operating the boat.Features and equipment:Refrigerator (12v and 120v so can be used on battery or shore power)Fresh water washdown New VHF radio in 2017New stereo in 2017 (details below)Microwave (requires shore power)iPhone mountDepth finderFlushing Marine headShore power inverter/chargerBimini top included (fabric will need to be replaced but the metal frame is in good shape.)Motor: 454 7.4L Mercruiser Bravo 1. The motor needs some work. Early this summer the boat began surging while running. You could set the boat at it's normal cruise of 3,400 RPM and every so often it would drop down to 3,200 then increase back to 3,400 on it's own. I troubleshot the entire fuel system suspecting bad gas, New fuel line, new anti-siphon valve, and new fuel filters. I noticed there was a little bit of water in the the fuel filter and after running sea foam and heet through the tank took it to a fuel polishing service. They cleaned the fuel and cleaned out the fuel tank in August. On the next run the boat had decreased power on takeoff and again would surge during cruise. on the way back into St. Michaels i experience a drop in oil pressure. I pulled the boat and took it to Easton Point marina. They determined that the motor needs new heads for approximately $5,000. The motor was replaced n August of 2006 (for reference this cost approximately $7,400). Also important to note, I replaced the exhaust manifolds and risers in spring 2017. Stereo: I put a nice stereo in the boat in spring 2017. 4 JL speakers with an amp and a JL subwoofer with an amp. The sound is really good!Trailer: The trailer is a 1998 load rite. The tires were replaced in 2016. It comes with an electric winch. The trailer is always cleaned with salt-away after each use. The trailer does not have many miles. The previous owner only used it to launch and recover the boat in the spring and fall as the boat was lift-kept during the summer and kept in a barn during the winter. In the past 3 years it has only been driven 10 miles or so per weekend as I would launch it on a Thursday and pull it on a Sunday. This is a great boat, and honestly, if I could fish off of it I would re-power it and keep it. The book value on this looks like it's around $24,000. I am asking $10,800. Feel free to call text or message me with questions. Free delivery within 100 miles of St. Michaels, email
