I bought this boat with the intention of restoring it but found it beyond my level of expertise. When I purchased this boat, I paid the Ohio registration through 2016, put 4 new wheels and tires on the trailer and replaced the impeller. I then took it to a professional boat repair shop who replaced the impeller right. The mechanic told me the out drive was in decent shape but the compression was low (30s) on all four cylinders on one side but good on the other four (260HP 350 MerCruiser). The block has a crack in the outside that may or may not go all the way through. The cost of having him tear the engine apart to find out made me abandon the project. The boat does not run. He said if I could do the work myself, it would be worth repairing or replacing the motor. I don't trust my own abilities with that much money. This is a no reserve auction. The minimum bid only insures I get enough out of it to pay the commission and equal the tax benefit of donating the boat to charity. You can email questions but since I never actually got the boat on the water, I won't be able to tell you much. The previous owner assured me that it does float. His photos showed it in the water. My seller rating is more important to me than recovering what I have in this boat. Please know, the engine probably needs replaced. The horn doesn't work. The guy I bought it off of said that one of the fish finders worked. I can't promise that's true. The interior is rough. The boat started when I went to buy it but that was the last time. Please do not bid on this boat expecting to put it right in the water and start having fun. If you cannot do the work yourself, I promise you will be better off spending your money on a better boat. My seller rating is more important to me than selling this boat so please don't buy this expecting anything but a project. No refunds. I don't believe my description has left any room for disappointment. In its prime, this boat was one of the nicest, best quality boats on the water. It's past its prime. It could be a beautiful fun boat again but not without work and money. Happy bidding.
