Sea Ray SRV 170

We are relisting this boat after re-evaluating the market for this type of boat, and condition factors on this particular one. We have lowered our reserve to be more in line with the current market and interest. And now to the description:

Offered for sale is a 1966 Sea Ray SRV 170 runabout. This was purchased brandnew on June 30, 1966 by the current owner. It has been in the Roanoke, VA area its entire life, used sparingly in fresh water and well maintained. Black hull with red trim, excellent original red interior. When this boat was not in use it was stored inside, and has not been used in recent years. It was last used a little over 20 years ago. Has been stored inside ever since. Has the original bill of sale, registration, paperwork, and Merc 650 owners manual. Trailer comes with it, has brand new tires, ready to tow. Comes with original period accessories as shown in the photos.

We have had several inquiries as to whether the motor runs. The motor wasfogged as per Mercury's recommendations. We put a hot battery in it, submerged the propeller in a tub of water, installed new spark plugs, bypassed the mercury switch, and cranked. The motor has good compression, but no spark. A good marine mechanic could probably get it running quickly, however we work on British cars here. Wish we could give a better answer.

The trailer will probably need to be rewired with a plug to suit your tow vehicle.
