SEA RAY Sea Rayder F16 SportJet 120XR Jet Boat

ENGINE SEIZED!For sale is a 1995 Sea Ray jet boat, a model Sea Rayder F16xr.This appears to not have been used since 2014 since that is when it was last registered by previous owner, and it has been stored inside for most of its life.Only 177.6 hours, but engine seized when #1, top cylinder overheated and piston melted. I have included a photograph of bad cylinder and of a good one just below that. I purchased this boat a couple years ago, and finally got around to removing the engine from boat so I could diagnose the problem, hoping I could just add some Marvel Mystery Oil to get it unseized...Well once I took off the cylinder head, I realized this wouldn't be the case so I never even tried.The boat itself is so clean, and even the engine looks brand new...it's hard to believe that it overheated and seized, so I believe that this would be a great boat for someone that is a little more engine savvy than myself and would want to rebuild it.The hull is in excellent condition, with the only damage being that the pinstriping is peeling off in spots. The trailer is in very good condition as well. It is a 1995 Shoreland'r Trailer and originally came with this boat. The left taillight lens was cracked and the previous owner glued it together, but the lights still work. I put brand new tires on the trailer after I purchased it since the old ones were dry rotted and leaked, but this trailer has never been driven on the road with the new tires.I will re-install the engine upon sale if so desired so you know where all parts are hooked up. It's pretty straight forward, so you should be able to figure it out, but you will need to remove the engine to work on it anyway, so this is just one step you will be able to avoid doing. I will either bolt or strap the engine down to a pallet and will load it into your vehicle when you pick up the boat, unless as I said, you would like for me to re-install it.One last thing...I am planning on selling this locally if I do not receive a bid on it via classifieds board. When I offer it for sale locally, I will be giving the option of splitting everything up. Someone will be able to just purchase the boat, without the trailer, or without the engine, because I wouldn't mind keeping the trailer in case I need it for a future small boat purchase, and the engine I can easily break down and sell the parts off on classifieds board and make several hundred dollars that way. It's a win win situation for me if someone doesn't want the engine. Therefore, if you would also like to just purchase the hull, without either the trailer or the engine, we can discuss a price for that alone, but I would not sell the engine or trailer prior to the boat selling.Full payment is due within 7 days of auction closing.
