THIS IS A PROJECT BOAT
So here we have a listing for a 1990 Sea Ray Overnighter. My brother owns this boat and asked me to sell it for him. Here is his description:
1990 Sea Ray 220 OV (Overnighter). The boat was purchased in late summer 2013 with a bad engine, and theMercruiser 5.7 liter engine was professionally overhauled inSeptember 2013. Both batteries, main and back up, were replaced. Some of the upholstery was recovered at that same time. I have receipts for the work that was performed.Aftersea trials, it was stored until thesummer of2014, andthe boat was used approximately 10 hours that summer. Work demands prevented the boat from being used at all in the summer of 2015, hence the decision to sell the boat now.
It has a UHF ship-to-shore radio, fish finder, and depth sounder. The out drive has a three bladed stainless steel prop. The boat has a single burner alcohol stove, and pressurized water source, but I never used either, and don't know if they are operational. Speedo is inop. A carry on porta potty is availableif you want it.Boat includes several PFDs/life jackets. Also included is a full factory/Sea Raycamping enclosure with windows. Cuddy cabin shows its age, but is usable. Have title in hand for boat and trailer.
The standard in dash depth sounder is a Lowrance 3400. The added fish finder is a Lowrance X50DS. The ship-to-shore radio is a Uniden, Polaris model.
NADA low retail is $7,100.
I told him he should sea trial the boat before selling it. He cleaned it up, installed a new battery, and took it out on the river. It performed well and they had an enjoyable day.
Upon bringing it back and cleaning it up they noticed a weak spot in the floor. Further inspection showed more weakness which led to the removal of the gas tank. In the pictures you will note the rot in the flooring and side panels. The port side stringer back at the entrance to the motor compartment is rotted as well. In the opening a screwdriver will sink to the hilt in the stringer.
This is a pretty nice boat as listed above but will take someone with fiberglass experience to make her whole again.
