Here is an exceptionally well maintained, classic Sea Ray 340 Sundancer. I have owned her for 2 full boating seasons and she operates flawlessly. Previous owner had the boat for 10 years on Lake Norman and the original owner previously used it on a Lake in TN. Always fresh water, always in a covered slip, now on Lake Wylie, SC. These are well designed and structurally sound boats. It has (2) 7.4L Mercruiser V8s pushing the boat through V-drive transmissions. Engines have 1600 hours on them, run full synthetic fluids, and show no signs of stopping. Onan 6.5 kW generator, fridge, ice maker, full bath, two sleeping areas, L-shaped settee, sink, stove, microwave, reverse cycle heat/AC, anchor windlass, hot water heater, TV/DVD, nice Sony sound system with Sony X-plod speakers, boatsafe bilge heater. Everything works as it should. I have all the original books and schematics for the boat. As I understand the story (unconfirmed), this boat was used by Sea Ray in the 1988 boat show in TN and has some additional trim work/teak not seen on other similar model boats. By the way, Teak wood is beautiful and gets polished regularly. Has American Cherry trim inside the salon and it looks great as well. Headliner, which is a common issue with older boats is perfectly in place, no stains, no sagging.
New since I purchased it: Bottom paint, new full cockpit enclosure w/screens (also has a snap on cover for transport), laminate flooring in salon (original red carpets were still in good shape, but they were RED), recovered the L-shaped settee, Berber carpet in the cockpit area.
I wax ittwicea year and the gel coat shines nicely.Only flaw on the outside is thestriping as it has dried out, cracked, faded over time.Mainly on the bow where it gets a little more sun.Vinyl seating in the cockpit is still in excellent condition. Our family has enjoyed getting to know this old girl, but we have purchased our next, larger boat and need to move this gem to a new owner. Take a look at the pics (sorry about the angles, it was cold and hard to get a good shot in the slip) and ask questions. I have gotten many compliments on the condition of this boat and folks are amazed when they realize it is 27 years old. I start the boat regularly, even in the winter to keep everything operational. Just started it this weekend and it ran perfectly.
