We have owned the boat since fall of 2009, and believe we are the 3rd owners. This boat was originally sold by Sea Ray of Cincinnati, and spent its whole life in Ohio & Kentucky until we bought the boat and brought it to Colorado. The length over all is 35 10 and the beam is 11 6, with a displacement of 11,200 lbs.
This 1999 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer is in excellent condition. The hull and gelcoat have been well maintained with annual spring buff and wax. The upholstery in the cockpit is in very good condition, with very few signs of wear. The cabin downstairs is excellent. We had a survey done on the boat prior to our purchase and will make that available to buyers with serious interest.
The Sundancer was fully repowered with factory long block Mercruiser 7.4 engines in the spring of 2010. The boat had about 360 hours on the engines at that time. The previous owners did not winterize the boat the preceding winter and the engine blocks froze. Currently the engine hour meters show 401 hours port engine and 405 hours starboard engine. Total hours on the new engines is about 40 hours.
The outdrives are Velvet V Drives, a full inboard set up, which puts the propeller thrust closer to the boat center of gravity, making it easier to maneuver and it planes more quickly.
We bought 4 blade nibral propellers and had them re-pitched for the lake elevation of 5400 ft. I believe they are currently pitched at 14.8, to give the boat its rated Wide Open Throttle when on-plane. If the buyer takes the boat to lower elevation you can re-pitch the props back to the standard 17 pitch to stay within the WOT. We will also include the factory stock 3 blade propellers.
The generator is a Westerbeake 40 amp generator with less than 180 hour on its meter. We had the carburetor rebuilt in 2010 and the generator runs well.
We have added all new canvas and had a camper top built. Canvas has been well maintained, and also comes with a fastback canvas for times you would rather be fully open air in the cockpit.
The stereo and TV were replaced when we bought the boat. Clarion marine stereo, with iPod compatible port and a multi disk CD changer, and 4 new Infinity marine speakers in the cockpit. Visio flat screen TV and digital video player in the forward cabin.
We added a delta style 22 lbs anchor and replaced the windlass foot switches. If we were keeping the boat I would add a longer length of anchor chain to make taking up anchor line slack easier when operating the windlass from the cockpit.
The boat has been used seasonally and kept in a wet slip at Chatfield State Park during the summers. The boat has been serviced annually and kept in dry storage under a winter storage cover during the winter months. (Nov-April). Currently the boat is still in dry storage and we expect to have the boat polished and in the water around Memorial weekend.
Last fall we completely rebuilt the trailer. We fitted the trailer with all new electric brake hubs on all three axles, added a battery backup for the brakes, fully rewired the trailer, and put all new one-piece wooden bunks on the trailer.
We planned on keeping the boat and trailer long term and had no intention of selling the boat or trailer. We have receipts that document the work done. Our recreational interests took a significant change this spring, and we no longer have enough time for boating to justify keeping and maintaining our boat.
Terms of sale: We will need a PayPal deposit payment of $500 to put the boat under contract. Buyer inspection must occur within 7 days from receipt of the PayPal deposit. Remainder of the funds due within 7 days after the buyer completes their inspection. . Balance of funds via bank wire transfer. The boat will be released after my bank confirmation that the wired funds have settled. We will work with the buyers to accommodate their schedule within reason.
We have a clear Ohio title for the boat. Colorado only registers boats via an annual State Park registration, so vessels are not titled in Colorado. The boat has a current Colorado Parks Registration.
Special Note: We want to sell our boat and will check regularly for questions regarding the listing. If interested parties would like to call me to discuss more details regarding the boat, I am happy to provide my cell number to people who make that request via email. I only ask that you are a serious buyer, to avoid wasting your time and my time.
Current Status: The boat is in our wet slip at Chatfield Marina. We've had it out on the lake for a few runs, and the boat is running well. We've checked out all the systems and everything is working well. Two notes: One engine tach is reading a bit high. The generator is acting like it is not getting fuel, and I have not have time to complete the troubleshooting. The boat gelcoat is about 1/2 polished for the season, and we are finishing the small maintenance items as time permits.
