2001 Sea Ray 260 Signature Bow Rider with a 7.4 Merc with only 290 hours. 2003 Heavy Duty Tandem axle aluminum trailer that is in like new condition.
My Sea Ray was purchased from a dealership in New Jersey and I personally trailered it to Florida. Owner kept it in a high and dry during the winter and in the slip during the summer. Boat was used in salt water but flushed after each use. It has been serviced and does not need anything. At the start of the season the exhaust and drive bellows were replaced. Gimbal bearing and fresh outdrive oil was done while replacing the bearing for outdrive. New plugs were installed, along with plug wires. New blower motor was put on. Risers were done last season and appear to be in good shape. There are only 3 areas that will need to be looked at in the future but operate consistently right now. 1- The power steering unit has a bearing that is randomly noisy. 2-The rear seat lift motor is slowing down but still works fine. 3-outdrive should be sanded and repainted. Ethanol free fuel has been used.Runs out great. It is ready to be driven.
Cosmetically it is in good shape. I have the carpets for the floors. In good shape. As you can see in some of the images the seats are starting to show wear. I took images of the areas that will need attention in the next few years. All function fine and look good enough to me that I wouldnt replace interior seating covers for a while. I have the bow and rear deck covers for the rear and front to be used as templates for an upholster to replace once someone wanted it done. They are not useable now. Steering wheel has some peeling on it. Floors are in excellent condition and very strong. Stereo system works fine. The canopy cover is in fair shape. I have the Garmin depth finder that works as it should.
Outside shows normal wear with no major damage. I took images of the superficial scratches that are on the gel coat. At the end of the season the boat gets buffed and waxed. Looks even better when it has been done. Bottom of boat has been painted. No damage or previous damage to hull or bottom of boat.
Trailer is a 2003First Load Aluminum Trailer from Rocket International. VERY solid light weight trailer. Is in very good condition with little to no rust. It has had bearings replaced this year along with 4 brand new tires with less than 50 miles on them. 10,000-pound strap is on the winch. Boat tows very well if you want to put in daily as I do and keep on trailer.
I bought a Sea Ray because with that comes a very well-built boat that is very solid and reliable. You will get many more years of service from this one. I am available in the evenings and weekend to show the boat and do sea trials. Thank you
