Sea Ray 220 SunDancer

INSURANCE SALVAGE:

For sale is a 1989 Sea Ray 220 SunDancer Cruiser. This boat was damaged when the owner ran into a channel marker. It was declared a total loss by the owners insurance company. The damage is to the port side of the hull. The hull is otherwise structurally sound.

This boat did not sink. The damage is restricted to the port side fiberglass seen in the photos.

After purchasing this boat from the insurance company, we started and ran the engine. It started quickly and ran well. A cylinder balance test was done and all cylinders were producing equal power. The engine is a MerCruiser GM based 5.7L, V-8. Documents on board the boat indicated that the engine was replaced with a new (not remanufactured) replacement in 2014. The stern drive is a MerCruiser Alpha-1, Gen2 with a stainless steel propeller. We changed the drive oil and found that it was clean with no contaminants visible.

Although we had intended to repair this boat over the winter season, we find that we are overwhelmed with repair work and do not have the time to make this restoration. In view of this, we are offering the boat to the highest bidder.

Trailer:theboat is stored on a Calkins tandem axle galvanized roller trailer with hydraulic brakes and galvanized wheels. This trailer is in excellent condition and is ready for the road. The trailer is included with the classifieds board sale.

Boat and Trailer:we are willing to consider offers for the boat only without the trailer. However, we are not interested in selling the trailer without the boat. The trailer is included with the classifieds board sale.

WARRANTY: NONE.The boat and trailer will be soldAS IS/WHERE IS.However, the successful bidder will have the opportunity to see that the engine starts and runs to his/her satisfaction before completing the sale.

TITLE:the boat and trailer will be sold with current Massachusetts titles. The boat will be sold with a free and clear title. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts does not issue Salvage Titles for boats so the salvage stigma will not be attached to the title.

DELIVERY:Transportation and loading are at the buyer's cost.
