PLEASE READ THIS DETAIL BEFORE YOU BID ON THIS UNIT!Without trying to come off as being ignorant to anyone's intelligence or ability, if you are looking to buy your first boat and trailerunit please go to a reputable dealership in your area before considering this unit. For its age this boat is in above average condition and has been maintained properly the 10+ we have owned her. As withany older boat or evena newer boat, problems will exist, the beauty of thisboat it is easyto work on and parts are everywhere. if you are an old "salt" with grease under your nails such as me an you have owneda boats then I'm preaching to the choir. I will disclose the issueswith the trailer in order of importance for it to be highway safe and ready.
1. The surge brake equipment needs to be rebuilt, some of the components may be able to be re-used but the soft and hard lines need replaced. I tow it free wheeling with my 04 1500 Chevy and no issues so far.
2. The shackles, equalizers and hardware should be checked and replaced if needed.
3. There is some moderate corrosion around the fender steps and supports, nothing visually seen in any of the structural cross members or main rails.
4.The 4 tires and the spare are 4 years old, good tread and no sidewall creases, but I haven't seen trailer tire over 6 years old without some degree of cracking, these are all minor.
5. Here is a paragraph of some of the positive items on the trailer! the bunks were re-done in 2015 with new treated lumber, stainless fasteners and marine grade bunk carpet, the front jack was replaced in 2016 and works fine, the winch was replaced in 2015 along with the flat strap, not a cable or clothes line from Wal-Mart. the rims are yucky but the bearings are cleaned and packed annually.
Now for the vessel itself, this boat was repowered in 2010 with a 60 over 5.7L Mercruiser long block supplied by Michigan Motors, the intake is a .75" over stock rise intake gasket matched to the heads. It has an Excel coil, distributor and wire set. The quadrajet was rebuilt, we also installed new exhaust logs and elbows. As hard as it can be to avoid ethanol laden fuel, we didour due diligence to do so. We also used Startron just in case someone told a fib! The boat has an on board smart battery charger/maintainer, you'll notice the electric/alcohol stove top is now a cool air ventfor the 10,000 btu ac unit hidden under the stove area! Believe me when you overnight at a dock with a 30 amp hook up you will THANK ME. I HAVE NEVER USED THE STOVE ONCE, THE AC, EVERY TIME WE USED IT. May seem a little redneck but tell me later when you're chillin out! The boat was winterized and has no batteries in it, the engine was fogged out and drained properly, I've been doing this for over 30 years. Fresh water pump works, the fresh and holding tank do not leak, all the nav lights function, (once in a while they need a love tap), the gauges all function normally, not saying you may need to replace some dash toggle switches, they do get the elements, even the weatherproof type die eventually. The Bennett sport tabs were re-ringed and flushed in 2015. Cruising speed with the 4 blade stainless is 26-28mph and max in calm to 1' is 40mph loaded, if you're nuts enough to eat this boats wake it will hole shot a skier. Tubing might be a little more fun. The boat and trailer are both Pennsylvania titled. I can't be any more truthful to any potential bidders as I have just been, there's a bunch of gear which is pictured along with a Danforth sea anchor and 100' of line tied to 6' of anchor chain. The boat needs a good wax job and a few weekends under the care of the right hands to be the best it can be for its age, a solid well built, comfortable and fun for 4 persons if you plan on serious fishing, the bimini tops are both there, the fish/radar arch stays with it. I would still clean the fuel system, Marvel the cylinders a few drops and it should light off no problem, it is cold blooded, so stay away from Maine in November! My wife and I both regret selling her but after my recent 6 hour back surgery and some other health issues, we need to downsize. REMEMBER, THIS IS A BIG BOAT AND YOU NEED AT LEAST 2 PERSONS TO SAFELY OPERATE IT. I figure if the right buyer with some mariner and mechanical skills is the successful bidder, it will, in my own estimate take $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 to get this unit in tip top shape. Happy bidding, and if I left anything out please ask. THIS UNIT HAS BEEN FULLY DISCLOSED OF ITS MODERATE TO MINOR ISSUES AND IS BEING SOLD "AS IS"!
