This is a no reserve auction fora 1992 Sea Ray 200 Overnighter with a 4.3 liter Mercruiser Alpha oneI/O .The trailer shown is NOT included in the sale but is available. We are listing this boat for a third party and representing it in completelyas-isconditionwith noreserve. Please read the ad and view the pictures carefully as this boat will be sold to whoeverhas the high bid at auctions end.We have included93 large pictures below the adto show you as much detailas possible as well as a description of condition. Our description of conditionis based on a brief and casual inspection and is only to help you decide its value. You are welcome to inspect the boat in person if you wish to do so. It is located inOld Saybrook, Ct, 06475 and is available anytime by appointment.
This Sea Ray will need engine work. We hooked up our jumper box to see what powered up and found the engine to be seized. The oil looks to have traces of water in it as well. The engine just clicks when you turn the key and the starter only engages if you jump the solenoid. We put a bar on the balancer nut and it will not budge. The engine otherwise looks intact but we did not diagnose the source of the water getting into the engine. The power trim works well other than the solenoids being fussy which is typical. You need to hit the up switch a few times to get it to work. It shifts in and out of gear well with no issues. The bellows for the shift cable and gimball look to be in great shape. The steering works very smooth as well. The fuel tank is a plastic model so you will have no corrosion issueswith that. The nav lights, bilge blower, auto bilge pump, horn and VHF radio all work. This is a nice boat other than needing engine work so if your an engine guy this is a good project for you! Parts for these engines are very reasonable and I often see good used 4.3 Mercruiserengines selling here on classifieds board for less than $1000.
Cosmetically the boat looks good but would benefit well from a detailing. The gel coat is all original and in very good shape. Im sure it would buff to a nearly new gloss. The cockpit decks aresolid but the center fuel tank cover is slightly soft. Itcould easily be removed and fixed. The cockpit cushions are in okay shape but still very presentable. The back to back seatshave good upholstery but the hinges and slides have issues. The v berth cushions are in okay shape but could use a cleaning as some have light mildew. With some cleaning and fixing up this boat would make a great overnighter for a small family. Please view all the pictures below this ad to judge the condition yourself.
The trailer shown is a mid 2000's model. It is available for $1000.00 additional to final bid price if needed. It is in very good shape other than the plastic fender being broken. We only have a bill of sale for the trailer as it is less than 3000 lbs.
