1997 Sea Ray 185 Bowrider

Up for your consideration is my 1997 Sea Ray 185 and galvanized trailer. The boat has been a fresh water boat its entire life and has never been bottom painted. The boat has been a "trailer queen" since new, meaning that it has been stored undercover on the trailer between uses to protect it from the elements. The boat was last utilized in 2000 as the pandemic and work limited our time to vacation at the lake with the boat. As our children have started lives away from home, my wife and I decided to sell the boat since we would not be making our yearly vacation trips to the Lake Region of Maine anymore. It was a great twenty year run for us but it's time for someone else to enjoy the boat and make their own memories. I took the winter cover off the boat two weeks ago to take it to the mechanic before putting it up for sale. The mechanic de-winterized it and gave it a clean bill of health. I brought it home, hosed it off and what you see in the pictures is an uncleaned boat without any detailing or wax, essentially the boat at its worst. I wanted the buyer to be able to do with it as they and know that it wasn't staged to be something that it's not. The only non-cosmetic issue with the boat is the cracks in the motor cover that were there when I purchased it and have never been an issue. The seats, rugs, padding, sun-pad and trimmings are all in excellent condition; this is a boat that you can be proud to use with just a good cleaning and a coat of wax.This is a very low hour boat with its original 4.3 liter, 205hp motor that makes this boat fly but is also good on gas. As seen in the pictures the original Alpha One outdrive is in great condition which demonstrates that the boat has never been abused and has been lightly used.The trailer, I'm told, is the original trailer that came with boat, and it handles it with ease and tow's very well. The surge breaks and lights work as they should. Tires, hubs and bearing buddies have all be updated and are prepared to haul the boat safely to its new home. I have a clean and open title for the boat and a fully transferable RI registration for the trailer (RI does not title trailers over ten years old).
