Up for auction today is a well maintained 1998 Sea Doo Sportster 1800 Twin Engine Jet Boat with a Single Axle Galvanized Trailer.Mechanical:When it comes to owning a jet boat look no further than the original designers and engineers of this awesome platform as Sea Doo has been producing them from the beginning. As Sea Doo continues to be in the forefront of innovation ... who can forget about these powerful 2 stroke ski boats of yesteryear's as we have up for auction today. This gorgeous and well maintained jet boat is powered by twin 717 2 stroke engines that push out a total of 170hp and have both been rebuilt within the last 16 months. As you can see the engine compartment is fairly clean and during our inspection we found compression readings of the motors showing 140-145 PSI which indicates they have been rebuilt as the previous owner indicated. These motors are 2 stroke motors which require a oil and fuel mix which is easily obtained as the original oil injection system is still in place and works flawlessly. The carbs on both motors were just dissembled and completely gone through to make sure they run great for many years to come. The engines start right up and as both working RPM gauges indicate they idle at about 1100 RPM as they get ready to power up to hit the water. Inspection of the steering, throttle, and shift cables we found them all fluidly working and no need for service/replacement. The remaining switches and gauges all appear to work with the exception of the speedo and blower motor . The original AM/FM Stereo w/ cassette works great and pushes great tunes through the speakers to enjoy your favorite tunes while on the water. Powering all of these items is a Brand New battery which was just installed as the old battery tested bad during the inspection. Mechanically this boat has been well maintained and the previous owner spent several thousands dollars over the last few years to make sure it ran flawlessly as he truly enjoyed it.Cosmetic:As you can see from the pictures provided the previous owner took alot of pride keeping his favorite water toy looking good for many years. This boat was always garage stored and that has helped keep the gel coat shiny and all of the original graphics intact. The hull of this boat is nearly flawless and you would be hard pressed to find a boat of this age in better condition. We completed a detail and applied a fresh coat of wax when arriving at our facility giving it a pretty good visual inspection and found no glaring dock rashes/scuffs to mention. The vinyl seat covers have been recently replaced and has really kept the interior looking great. Also within the last years a full set of exterior/interior traction mats have been installed to make sure passengers and yourself can move around freely without the worry of slipping. The original bimini top and full boat cover (not pictured) are included with the sale and it will keep the sun rays down while out on the water and off the interior while being stored. This vessel is in great condition and certainly a boat you can be proud to operate at your favorite water destination.Trailer:Included with the sale of this vessel is the Single Axle Galvanized trailer as seen in the photos. Overall in great shape with very little surface rust and completely solid with no concerns.
