2000 SeaDoo ChallengerTwin 720 RotaxExcellent condition example of a hard to find twin Rotax 720 boat. My wife and I purchased this boat locally at the beginning of the 2017 season after it was pulled out of long-term barn storage. The previous owner had not registered it since 2009 and had cared for it meticulously before storing it. It was stored last winter at our primary residence in our heated garage. Work completed since acquiring:

• New battery this week (killed by battery tender over the winter)
• Spark plugs
• Fuel filters
• Oil line filter
• Jet pumps swapped to late 90's bronze cast housings. (ask for details)
• Jet pumps fully rebuilt with new bearings, fluid, seals, wear rings.
• Skat-trak 16/21 Slim-Line impellers installed.
• Fuel sending unit repaired.
• Kenwood 400w Bluetooth amplifier and new marine speakers installed.
• Removable bimini top installed.

We used this boat regularly last season. It is best likened to having a 4 person jet ski with the comfort of a boat. Its really in a class of its own. At 14' it is short enough to be stored almost anywhere, yet with a deep-v bow it handles chop much better than you would expect. The boat is very stable, turns on a dime and will jump waves, limited only by your bravery. It regularlysurprises most on the water both riders and fellow lakers, outpacing many of the later model 4-stroke jet skis at full tilt.With the pump work and impeller choice it is set-up for top end and will do an indicated 58 mph with one person and around 56 mph with two while spinning 7000rpm. Hole shot is impressive and it will pull a tube with 200 lbs of rider(s) with ease.These boats were offered in three engine configurations. (1) one 720cc, (2) one 787cc, (3) two 720cc. The twin 720 produces a total of 172hp in a package weighing in at under 1300 lbs. The compression of both engines is even across all cylinders, reading 125+/- lbs per cylinder and it starts with little effort both cold and warm. The Rotax 720's are considered by many to be the most reliable 2-stroke Rotax ever put into a watercraft. The oil injection system is still intact (no premix) and has been inspected thoroughlyat all connection points. The previous owner used SeaDoo 2-stroke oil exclusively, I switched over to Lucas semi-synthetic 2-stroke.We purchased this boat with the eventual plans of moving to or acquiring a home at the local lakes. Due to personal circumstances this has changed and would like to make room in the garage. The trailer included is the original galvanized SeaDoo spec OEM trailer and has been fitted with LED lights and the winch replaced last season. The tires are in good condition.There is no hull damage of any kind, the seats and decals are in very good condition (except SeaDoo logo on drivers seat), gel-coat is shiny and the boat has been compounded and waxed. The only known issue with the boat is a small tear in the bellow around one of the exhaust outlets. When kept in the water it will let a small amount of water in (easily handled by auto bilge), but I would recommend sealing it if you intend to put the boat in the water for an extended period of time. This is a common issue with these boats and unfortunately these bellows are not readily available anymore. From my research it appears that people with similar situations have had good success with filling the voids with a marine sealant such as 3M 4200.E-mail with questions.
