When Bombardier introduces a new Sea-Doo boat or personal watercraft, it usually does so with a bold public flourish, after the boat has been well-tested and proven and kept under tight wraps. The company's new sportboats and personal watercraft often just seem to "appear" full-blown.True to its Sea-Doo roots, the 205 cockpit's full fiberglass liner makes it simple to maintain; there are easily accessible storage spaces everywhere. The standard Bimini top stores neatly out of the way under the engine hatch/sunpad. It doesn't have to be removed and dropped into the storage space like most (a job for two) but slides away easily. There's a newly designed instrument panel at the helm with an easy-to-read and accurate speedometer. Performance, with the 250-hp Mercury OptiMax M2 jet drive in the engine compartment, is, predictably enough, similar to the 185.
