I am selling my 2006 Rinker 232 Captiva Cuddy. It currently has only 212.7 hours on it. The engine is a Mercury 5.0 with a Bravo III outdrive. The vinyl is very clean, no rips or tears and is in very good condition. The boat has a cockpit cover which is always on when the boat is not in use. There is snap in carpeting for inside the cockpit area which is in fairly good condition given its age. A 2005 painted, matching tandem axle Trailmaster trailer, with spare tire and carrier, and surge brakes is also included.
It should be noted that this boat is in fact a 2006. NADA and other sites do not show that the 232 CC was made in 2006. However, I did contact Rinker directly and got clarification. The boat is in fact a 2006. It is a limited edition and they were in the process of releasing new models and a few 232 Captivas were made in 2006.
I bought this boat one year ago almost exactly from the original owner, since then we have found out our family will be growing and will not get the use out of it to justify keeping it. In the year that I have had the bought I have added the following:
- - New, never used camper canvas. This was made at a local upholsterer and is
top quality. The only time it has been
put up was to take these pictures.
- -
Bimini top canvas replaced
- -
New Kenwood speakers, stereo antennae, and aux
input cord added to stereo
- -
New serpentine belt
- -
USB and 12v plug charger under dash
- -
Dual batteries with switch, Automatic Charging Relay
(ACR), and full fuse block
- -
There is a Vexilar T-box for sonar phone, and a
Ram tablet mount installed that I will be removing, unless otherwise agreed
upon prior to sale.
Only flaws with the boat are a small chip in the swim platform, and also some of the paint on the fiberglass in the engine bay was pressure washed off by the previous owner. There may be some other small nicks and scratches here and there given the age of the boat, but nothing major or anything worth noting. The Faria speedometer and tach also work intermittently which is also a common issue.
NADA gives this boat an average retail value of $23,470 with pricing it as a 2005. If it was priced out as a 2004 it would be almost $2000 less than that. The point being that the boat is a 2006 and with a $2000 a year price difference average retail should be around $25,500.
