This auction is fora 1998 Regal Ventura 6.8 23 foot cuddy cabin with a Volvo-Penta 5.0 liter GI series Electronic Fuel Injected engine with Duo-prop stern-drive. Thegalvanized roller trailer shown isnotincludedin the sale but available separately.We are listing this boat for a third partyand representing it in completelyas-iscondition witha lowreserve. Please read the ad and view the pictures carefully as this boat will be sold to whoeverhas the high bid at auctions end.We have included132 large pictures below the adto show you as much detailas possible as well as a description of condition. Our description of conditionis based on a brief and casual inspection and is only to help you decide its value. You are welcome to inspect the boat in person if you wish to do so. It is located inOld Saybrook Ct, 06475 and is available anytime by appointment.

This Regal has a Volvo_Penta 5.0 liter GI series engine and reliableDuo-Prop stern-drive with stainless steel propellers. The engine is electronic fuel injectedand runs very well. The electronic hour meter reads720.9 hours and is currently working. We ran the boat on the hose for about 25 minutes and it starts fast, idles smooth, stays cool and sounds great. The oil pressure hangs around 40 lbs at idle which is perfect and the oil is clean and gold. The outdrive trims up and downas it shouldand it shiftsvery smoothlyin and out of gear. The steering is very smooth and overall it appears the boat is in very good mechanical working order. We did not sea test the boat in the water but the previous owner said it ran perfectly. Thenav lights, bilge blower, bilge pump, horn and most if not all gauges worked well.We did notice that the VHF radioand the stereo would not power up. There are dual batteries hat hold a good charge with selector switch that is original and very nicely rigged. There looks to have been a spot in the cockpit for refrigerator or ice boxthat was removed. The fresh water system has two faucets but the water pump would not power up.

Cosmeticallythe boat looks good with only age appropriate scratches and small dings. There is no bottom paint as it was always a rack stored boat that spent most winters in Florida and summers on Cape Cod. There are a few gel coat scratches on the strakes in the bow that are highlighted in the pictures. The gel coat overall isin good conditionand would shine up very well with a compound and wax.The decks are all very solid and have no known issues. The upholstery is in good shape and still soft. There are a few rips that we show in the pictures as well. The previous owner removed the carpet in the cabin and never replaced it. The bimini top and side curtains will need a couple new zipper cars but is otherwise in good useable shape. The backdrop curtain looks as if it was never used. There is a full set of mooring covers that look good although we did not install or inspect them on the boat.

The trailershown in the pictures is available for $1600.00additional if interested. It is a 2003 Sea lion roller model with brakes on one axle. We can also order you a New 2015 Venture aluminum bunk trailer if interested for our cost of $2600.00. The pictures are current and the boat is being sold as is in the condition shown. At the end of the auction the winning bidder will need to send us a $200.00 Pay-Pal depositand contact us within 24 hours by phone or email to discuss payment/pick up with us.

We havestate ofFlorida title and registration papers to transfer ownership of the boat with no problems. The boat will need to be paid for in fulland picked up within one week of auction ending unless you have made other arrangements with us.We are available to deliver it anywhere for $2.50 per hauled mile if needed.
