Regal 277XL Commodore

28' Regal Commodore Aft Cabin.. Great shape!! 1987 and needs nothing to enjoy this summer as it has been so well taken care of. (This is the Regal Commodore 277XL model which is 28' LOA, and compares well to other quality boat manufacturers like SeaRay, Wellcraft, Cruisers Inc., ect.) MUCH better made than Bayliner. One of the best family cruisers using a layout many people prefer with a queen size aft cabin, large l shaped sofa, enclosed head with push button flush, large galley with built in microwave, stereo, alcohol/electric double stove, large v berth with beautiful teak doors, and more headroom than most any other both the size. This is very noticeable if someone is over 6'1" like myself. In most every other boat under 30', you have to bend a little to go through the main cabin. Not with this Regal! Also, you can really notice the 10' beam is it makes your boat much more stable than the many narrower beam boats of this length. It also means you have more room in the stern seat, which runs the entire width seating 4 very comfortably. In addition, you have a Regal innovative split captains seat which fits 2-3 and can be split to stern facing which is great for conversation at the dock or to watch someone tubing. This boat has the right engine size for a 28' which are the twin Mercruiser 350s. (Don't settle for smaller engines, or just one.) The port side motor was replaced just 2 years ago and both motors run well. An oil change was just done. There is a 3 bank battery system and charger. A push button electric windlass makes anchoring MUCH EASIER and is a really useful addition many boats this size don't have. They cost over $1,000 and is included. Trim tabs and elegant recessed lighting as well. The upholstery and canvas are in very good shape, no reason to do anything for years to come. A VERY big plus with this particular camper canvas is not only the additional headroom, but also the tremendous amount of windows sewn into this camper canvas. It makes cockpit area a very comfortable place in any weather, and not feel closed in as many other camper canvas designs will. The boat comes with everything needed to meet coastguard requirements.
