2000 Pursuit 2860 Denali(Pursuit's weekender model) . Excellent low hour boat with zero hour engines. Please read all of the info as it will answer many of your questions.I bought this boat so that I could, in retirement, purchase a large boat with twin screws and wanted to learn twin screw boat handling with this one. My mechanic subsequently showed me how this boat with twin props could turn around in it's own length without having to use "twin screw handling." I have owned boats all of my adult life and while in Michigan have a 21' runabout on a boat lift in front of my house. I thought that in retirement I'd have more time for boating but as my wife pointed out I don't have time for boating because I'm a work alcoholic, even in retirement.A 300+ hour clear title boat, that I bought out of New Jersey, I was aware it was a salt boat and that the engines, 4.3 V6's, had taken on water. When we received the boat my mechanic concluded that the engines hadn't been drained and cleaned as stated by the seller. We were faced with buying rebuilt engines (carbureted), or new (multi port injected), and I opted for new. So basically everything ahead of the transom is new. New engines, new trim pumps, new bilge pump, new battery switches, new trim hoses, and all of the electrical terminations were replaced, new shift cables, new tachs with hour meters (0 hours), new hoses, new bellows, new gimbal bearings new deep cycle batteries, new battery maintenance charger, new, new everything that there was any question about was replaced with new.The boat is equipped with a split cooling system so you salties can make it back into a salt boat with out concern for salt contamination of the engines. As far as I know this boat came equipped with everything available from Pursuit. It has windshield wipers, windless, water heater (untested), split cooling, hour meters, twin fuel tanks, etc. etc. etc.. These boat sell for over $350k new...this one is as close to new as you'll probably ever get at about 12% of the price. Before purchase I had a good friend of mine drive over and look at the boat. His comments were that the hull and all of the "glass" was in great shape with no obvious flaws, the canvas and upholstery as well. The question mark was the engines. The hour meters showed 307 and 309 hours. I had a brief conversation with the original owner who said it was his baby and had never been fished but was not forthcoming about how the engines took on water. He did say the helm and cabin did not see any water. When asked why he didn't have the engines drained and cleaned he indicated that he "didn't have the authority" and abruptly ended the conversation. Included is a very nice eagle trailer which has brand new tires (4) and a brand new 2000# jack. The trailer has always been stored indoors when not transferring the boat so it's in excellent condition. The shake down cruise for the boat was uneventful except for a screw that was removed when the bottom paint was removed wasn't reinstalled after the new bottom paint. Its fixed now. Other than that it was great. The boat shows great power and glides up on plane without pushing the nose way up, it just sort of lifts itself. As stated before the boat was never fished and has no down riggers or any holes indication added equipment. The boat has full instrumentation as supplied by Pursuit, but has a blank stainless steel dash so you can equip it anyway you wish. My mechanic is betting it will have down riggers within a week of the new owners taking possession. It's time this boat gave the kind of fun it was designed for and have a new owner that has time and is willing to take time to enjoy it. Make sure you have your financing in place before you begin the buying process. Make sure your significant other is "on board" with the purchase as well. Low ballers need not apply as I own the boat free and clear and have storage capacity (always stored indoors). If I were going to give it away, and I won't, it wouldn't be to a complete stranger. The boat is used and does not have a warranty. If you have questions contact Tom. I'm in Florida until May 1 then back to Michigan where the boat is. I can get serious buyers in contact with my mechanic who is a professional marine mechanic, not a backyard mechanic, he can show the boat to anyone that would like to see it if I'm not back yet.No zero or negative feedback bidders please. This is a very nice boat, updated with the best OEM equipment, no disappointments.
