Very original Penn Yan Riviera RS1, survivor, second owner, with excellent, original interior and very good exterior. Encourage any who can to see the boat in person. Original 120 Mercruiser Inboard/Outboard (153 cu in Chevy 4 cylinder, pre-Alpha outdrive). Hour-meter shows920 hours. Meticulously maintained and winterized. Original propeller has been reconditioned, boxed, and is included. Currently, the boat has a MercruiserBlack Max 48-832832A45Propeller (14 1/4inch diameter, 21" pitch right hand prop with Flo-Torq II hub kit and 1A thrust washer) installed, which works quite well. Annual maintenance included marine grease at all fittings, and Mercrusier gear oil changes.Includes 1966 TeeNee double-axle trailer (2" ball) that was purchased with the boat by the original owner, with all five original tires, including spare. Have original paperwork from first owner, showing when he picked it up from the factory in Penn Yan, NY. The boat spent the next 40 years on Sodus Bay, Lake Ontario (near Rochester, NY), and was meticulously cared for and stored in a boat house on a lift, or in the original owner'sgarage/workshop from 1966 until 2006.The boat spent its nextsix years on Cazenovia Lake, Cazenovia, NY (second owner). The engine was given a complete tune-up: new spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, points, ignition wires, fuel filter, thermostat, and oil and outdrive fluids changed. The engine timing, dwell and carburetor were adjusted to spec as part of the tune-up. Minimum twice per season Mobil 1 15W-50 / NAPA Gold 1046 oil / filter changes. The engine ran very well during that time, until the last outing, when it started to overheat. Diagnosis is a bad head gasket as evidenced by water in the oil(not bad in 45 years of running), so not currently running. I had planned on going through the engine, since it is original, but no time - too many projects.Cause of over heating and diagnosis will need to be confirmed when the head is removed from the engine for inspection. Complete Fel-Pro marine engine overhaul gasket set (including head gasket), plus incidentals (oil filter, etc) included. Aft light mast needs repair - extra mast pole included. Hull is generally in great shape, but needsrepair/gel-coat work at the forward keel to be perfect. Photos available - send a message to request. Gas tank was drained when the boat was moved to Prosper, TX (north of Dallas, due to job relocation) where it has been garage stored since 2012.Also included isthe original "camper" top and side windows, which are in excellent shape. Newer mooring boat cover in fair condition - a few small holes - isincluded, as well. The hydrofoil on the outdrive visible in the second photo is dismounted but included. I found it handled better without the hydrofoil. Last two images show a 1966 Pen Yann advertising brochure with interesting specifications (not included). This is an incredible example of a two-owner, first generation fiberglass boat from Pen Yann. Buyer responsible for arranging shipping and pick-up, my location. As-is, no return sale. Thanks for looking!
