Penn Yan Captivator

Penn Yan Captivator in great condition. This boat and motor came with a package of boats I bought from a collection locally. The registration numbers were from the mid 1980s. Not really sure when it was last used. The motor is a 1959 Johnson 35 electric start. I am not sure if the boat was two years old when the motor was installed or there was another motor on it. The controls, dash plate and eblem are all of 1959 vintage and correct for the motor. It runs excellent. All systems have been gone through and updated. I do not think there is a lot of running time it is quiet and the motor mounts are tight. The boat seems to be all original. We did add two coats of white paint on the sides but the varnish and blue paint seems to be original. There is no peeling varnish or rot that I can find. Where the gas tanks would be stored in the rear of the boat there is slight discoloring of varnish on a few ribs. The original hardware is all there in nice condition. Lights are working. Has the original canvas cover as well. When I purchased the boat it had been barn stored for at least 35 years that I know of. It will come with a battery and gas tank. A trailer will be included as well but without paperwork. Can be water tested and is for sale locally.
