Penn Yan Aristocrat Clipper

1949 Penn Yan Clipper Aristocrat -16' 4 cyl inboard very rare! 1949 Penn Yan Inboard 16' wooden boat.This is a fine boat in pristine condition.The inboard is a Gray Marine Phantom Four - 45 HP - totally rebuilt in 2008. It has a 6 volt electrical system and a new Moller 19 gal. polyethylene gas tank, mounted forward, and new fuel fuel gauge, both installed in 2010.It has a cover for trailering, a bunk type trailer is included, with new wheels and tires, all in nice condition.This boat is a real head turner. It looks even better in person than my pictures show it. It was displayed at the 2002 Clayton Boat Show in Clayton, NY, which can be found on their website. It has brass trim and hardware. The mahogany was stripped and varnished in 2010 and is in excellent condition inside and out.This is a very special Penn Yan - a Clipper Aristocrat Model. It's been said by the grandson of Penn Yan that this boat, he believes, was one of a kind when Penn Yan and Johnson Outdrives were considering merging their businesses. The bronze external propeller and rudder extending beyond the stern indicate this, but there is no documentation in the archives.The perfect boat for the weekend wood boat enthusiast.
