1973 Wriedt Stinger 18' jet boat with original (best I can tell from date code) 1973 454 Chevy engine and Berkely jet drive. I have owned this boat for over 20 years and has been garage kept since new. Restored with new dupont imron paint and interior in the early 90's the boat is super solid and in immaculate condition. All glass is perfect, floors are solid and stringers are as well showing no repairs or glass work. I have used the boat on a very limited basis about once a year if that, for the last 15 years, as you will note the expired registration in '07. Basically has been garage art and time has come to sell it since I need the space and it's not being used. Installed a new 750CCA deep cycle marine battery battery this winter and put in in the water a couple weeks ago for these shots and video. Absolutely everything on this boat works as it should. All gauges read correctly and work as well as the lights in them, the navigation lights, trailer lights, blower, bilge pump, horn and radio. Starts instantly at the turn of the key, idles smoothly, accelerates rapidly and tops out at around 63 MPH, but I hardly haveever pushed it to that except for testing purposes. Mostly justa cruiser from place to place. The fuel pump seeped fuel from the base gasket after storage in the off season, so I installed a temporary inexpensive pump as you can see from the pictures in order to safely run it for photos and video. I have since purchased a new one and will come with boat. I also noticed a few water drips from the front two freeze plugs after taking it out of the water which would need to be changed at some point or resealed. I put all new ones in about 15 years ago but did not put brass. Can be easily done by taking exhaust manifolds off. Those are the only two known minor issues I know of. Lastly boat comes with the original engine cover and chrome hardware. A super rare and hard to find item. Note picture of original ad and cover in additional Flickr photo link if you are not familiar with them. It is original and not painted red or white to match boat. Also have the original cover for boat, but some of the stitching is coming loose. Canvas material is in excellent shape with no rips or holes.Trailer is in nice shape. Tires are in excellent shape, do not leak, no age related or weather cracking, bearing buddies on axles, as mentioned all lights work, spare tire is on steel rim, correct lug nuts included should you need to mount it. This is a well sorted and loved boat and is not in any way a project boat or anything that needs work. It does attract a lot of attention and complements while on the water or on the trailer. Boat is for sale with a very reasonable reserve. Offers welcome, you never know.Additional Photos: flickr.com/photos/56821448@N05/albums/phone420921Video: youtube.com/watch?v=bmVYdVVneggMay have to copy and paste in your browser.
