West Marine

This is a 12 1/2' prototype aluminum hulled RIB, made by Sun Selections, and offered to West Marine. (Not actually sold by West Marine, but offered to them as a potential model.) The tubes are glued construction made of German Haku Hypalon fabric. There is a powder-coated aluminum V hull with a full floor (the interior is flat with bilge place underneath) and a soft foam layer for comfort and grip. The boat weighs about 150 pounds which is really light for a 12 1/2' RIB, which gives is very good performance. 6' beam after, and the boat has a distinctive broad bow which gives it a lot of interior volume. There are transom extensions to make the boat ride like a longer boat, and to allow it to plane easily. Bow locker and bench seat. Three chambers.The engine is a Suzuki 25HP, three cylinder, four stroke, fuel injected. This is the best engine I have ever owned. Starts on the second pull without a battery, or instantly with a small AGM battery (included). Also includes a small bilge pump for nuisance water. The engine has exactly 20 hours on it. Half in saltwater, half in freshwater. The engine is a perfect match for the boat. Fast, no cavitation.The trailer was abandoned and has had all components replaced (coupler, jack, tires, wheels, bunks, lights). The entire package is around 500# and can be towed with almost any vehicle capable of accepting a hitch.Clean title. Boat must be picked up in Santa Cruz, CA. While it would be possible to ship it, there's no way it would make financial sense so please don't ask. The coupler fits 1 7/8" balls and the wiring is a standard flat 4 connector.
