This auction is only for a partial hovercraft as shown in pictures displayed with this item, itdoes notinclude the engines, associated assemblies, fan blades.Nor does itincludea Titleor a trailer. The canvas passenger cover and two of the aluminum bracing need mending (two pieces of tubing snapped due to the snow load over the winter, all the other sections appear in good condition, I believe a standard pipe plumbing connector should make an easy repair). Seehttp://www.decastris.com/hcc/builders/voyager/voyager.htmfor information and pictures of this same model, as it was originally equipped (showing how the hovercraft appears with engines and fan blades) and in operation. The skirting for this unit appears to be of the segmented jupe type (rubberized fabric), most of these segmented units appear to be in excellent condition, although a few have some small holes that should be easily patched. Note: the segmented jupe type skirting form individual cone type cells with the bottoms cut off and their bases attached to the bottom of the outer hull, making replacement of an individual cell very easy. We detached these jupe cells, numbering them (they were attached with plastic zip-tie wraps), see the picture, to make sure we did not damage them when wetransferred the hovercraft.See the link below for the benefits and limitations to this skirt design:http://hovercrafthomepage.blogspot.com/2010/02/hovercraft-faq.htmlfor information on hovercraft operations.Seehttp://www.hoverhawk.com/for information on obtaining replacement fan blower blade assemblies. The original engines were VW aircooled units, although it appears from information on the internet that small snowmobile, motorcycle or ultralight motors will work. The support wood under the 3" wide gunwales appear to have separated from thefiberglass deck and could do with some repairs to reinforce those areas of the deck (although they supported my weight). The unit has two large 20 gallonaluminum gas tanks located amidships below the central deck. The sub-hull that providesflotation for when the hovercraft is at rest on the water appears to be in excellent shape (the internet seems to indicate that this sub-hull is foam-filled, so that this hovercraft would be very tough to sink). This unit is available for local pickup only (FOB: Somerset Wisconsin). Note the size of this boat/hovercraft, and come prepared with a trailer that can transport it to your location. We may be able to provide some assistance in loading the unit onto your trailer.
