Bought this Tomahawk several years ago. Believe to be complete with exception of the seats.Love the classic Chevy Bellaire wing look. Does not include the engine which is being sold separately.
I restore vintage sportscars and wanted to do this right. Began restoration by having it soda blasted, a method used to protect the fiberglass. Has been in garage since to protect it. Back shelf where steering cables attach to the engine has some broken fiberglass. This would also be a good time to check and perhaps reinforce some fiberglass on the inside. Then body ready for sealing and paint. I am not a fiberglass boat person, but have been told by fiberglass bodywork people that there is a special marine primer and paint, such as one by Evercoat, that will fill in fiberglass pinholes and imperfection and is designed to be rolled and brushed on rather than having to spray. The steering wheel had typical age cracks and has been restored to its former glory, painted with gray primer so you can select what color you want.
The boat is in storage at our cottage, and unfortunately, I don't recall the condition of all the pieces that attach or what is there. I want you to be happy with your purchase, so would prefer you come look at it or hire a boat inspection person before purchasing. I am trying to be fair with the description, but may have forgotten something or unknowingly missed.
The boat is being sold for restoration, AS IS, where is. Your responsibility to come and get it. It is near the Traverse City, Michigan area.
I have been told the trailer is special, but I am unfamiliar with these. The tires have been replaced and bearings cleaned and repacked. I used it when I purchased the boat and trailer to get it home as well as to our cottage, a trip of about 500 miles. Before you take the boat home, the electrical, tires, and bearings should probably be rechecked.
Pictures show what it was when I purchased it, what it is like after soda blasted--please look carefully as I've tried to show the pinholes and imperfections--, and pictures of other Ski-Mates that have been restored. Last four pictures are for reference only not included in sale. With Harley Davidson having bought Tomahawk Boat Co. due to its groundbreaking technology in using fiberglass to make boats, this is definitely worth restoring. In fact, the Tomahawk Boat Museum Inc. in Tomahawk, WI is in the process of building a museum in honor of this historic company
I have too many projects with restoring my cars and a basement full of antiques. I'm not a boat guy; just love the classic Chevy Bellaire wing look on the Tomahawk. Decided to sell this so it gets finished.
**NOTE: I AM POSTING THE SALE OF THIS BOAT ON OTHER SITES AS I WANT TO SELL IT BEFORE FALL

Some interesting information about the importance of Tomahawk Boat Co.: FranklinWinter, founder of Tomahawk Boat Co., is considered to be one of the pioneers of what became an explosion of middle-class boating after World War II, thanks to the advent of relatively inexpensive fiberglass boats.During the heyday of its fiberglass boat business in the 1950s, Tomahawk was one of the country's leading manufacturers; and Evinrude used Tomahawks exclusively in its catalog one year,
One of the non-boat products made by Tomahawk was saddlebags for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Harley bought Tomahawk and marketed the fiberglass boats under its name then got out of the boat business. Tomahawk still manufactures saddlebags in its "Tomahawk Division."
