Boat is the property of my non profit veterans organization, as seen in our IRS letter. The project to house and employee fellow disabled, post 911 vets fell through, so our organization is selling its assets. She was originally built in Holland and spent her entire life in freshwater lakes of western Canada, until I moved it to our organizations farm in Florida. The Hull is in fine shape, other than needing a roof riveted on. Its got a draft of only about two feet and has floated across sandbars flatboats were stuck on before. It has a shallow keel that runs most the length of the boat and protects the prop from impact. It does plain out but could use some trim tabs. Its about 8.5 feet wide so road legal sizer for trailer transport, which is really, really cool and unique for a live-aboard sized, aluminum hulled, diesel boat, in the United States. The engine was recently completely gone through by a good friend, former Marine Corps and professional industrial mechanic, who is very good. He also placed the stuffing in both the prop shaft and rudder stuffing boxes. It does need hoses hooked back up to run, as obviously the inside was gutted for a rebuild that isnt happening now. The motor is a huge, bullet proof, turbo charged 590E, as in 590 or 9.6 liter, Ford industrial motor, marine version. It burns about 2 gallons per hour at top speed of around twenty miles per hour. Steering and throttle controls come with. As stated this is part of a project through our non profit that fell through. I cant afford any complications, so the terms of auction/sale and are non negotiable under any circumstances. This is an auction, with no reserve or buy it now. Payment is cash, (real) certified check or money order only. Buyer is entirely responsible for pickup and moving. You are welcome to inspect the boat all you want but will only be allowed to prior to bidding. The winning bidder will make a $1,000 cash or money order deposit within 48 hours of close of auction before anything else happens, including questions answered or sale is canceled. Buyer then has two weeks to move the boat or the deposit is forfeit and she will be re-auctioned. Before buyer moves, payment will be completed in exchange for signed documentation and best wishes. This is not to be difficult but because our organization must protect what remains of its funds and assets in order to survive, so I must stress terms of sale are 100% non negotiable, period. Thanks for the interest and have a great day.
