This Hoverwing vehicle is ready for water, ice or snow. The vehicle has some minor cosmetic scratches, blisters and surface cracking from being put through the paces for proof of concept testing. Vehicle was constructed as the master body to produce production molds made to manufacture these craft. Production of these craft under the name Vector Hovercraft was to begin in mid 2020. However, production funding was unable to be secured, and so this may remain the only vehicle exactly like it in existence. There are other hovercraft, and even other WIG craft, but anywhere you go, there won't be another like it!Vehicle has reached speeds of over 75 MPH in hovercraft mode (without wings), and has briefly flown in ground effect mode. Powerplant is a 170HP Subaru 2.5L EFI naturally aspirated engine.Vehicle has four seats, but will typically be flown with one front seat driver (flown on either left or right side) and one passenger opposite side in rear seat. Two occupants may sit in front seats if combined weight is less than about 320 lbs.In ground effect (flight) mode with wings attached, vehicle can fly 3-4 ft above the surface at around 50 MPH. Once vehicle gets "out of the hole" and reaches planing speed (around 20-25MPH), it really gets fast, and is an adrenaline rush, especially in WIG flight mode. It's a bit scary actually (he he!)Vehicle is ideally land launched and recovered via a shallow slope into water. Steep slopes like boat ramps can cause the tail to drag the ground on transition. Water launching like a boat will fill the skirt with water, and will need to be beached to drain before operating at speed.Cabin is heated and air conditioned.
