1973 UniFlite 32' Sport Sedan Bridge Cabin Cruiser. Classic American built, hand laid fireproof fiberglass hull and decks, twin Crusader 270's with eight hours on them and V-drives. I recently bought this UniFlite boat to resell. I bought the boat from a 77 year old man that owned it with his twin brother. The Brother passed away and the gentleman I purchased the boat from held onto it for many years for sentimental reasons. He recently decided to sell the boat which has been winterized and stored indoors at Skipper Buds in Port Clinton Ohio for more than twelve years. The boat is in really good condition. It does need a good cleaning and buffing. Shortly before putting the boat into storage the engines were replaced and new plastic tanks were installed. After the new engines were installed the boat was taken out for times for a total of just over eight hours. It was then put in storage for the winter but because of the owners age and other commitments the boat sat in storage for many years and was never again launched. As I mentioned I bought the boat to resell, I have not done any work to her but I will if I do not sell her right away. My plan would be to pump out the fuel tanks, remove the spark plugs and spray some canned lubricant into each cylinder and then turn the engines by hand just to be sure everything is well lubed after sitting so many years. I would do a tune up on both engines, install new batteries, fresh fuel and start her up. I have talked to many boat people and they say these Chevy 350 engines are bullet proof and they have zero doubt that they will start and run with no problem. I also have the owner's binder with all the original information for the boat including the 1973 pre delivery check sheet and sea trail results. I have seen a few of these boats for sale on line prices in the $14,000 to $16,000 range. They are pretty rare. Other than needing to be cleaned the only issues I found at all were some small cracks in a two of the cast iron exhaust elbows, the elbows can be bought online for $139.00 each but can also be fixed for almost nothing with JB Weld, some bad wall paper in the cabin and a loose armrest on the capitans flybridge seat. Please google UniFlite they were a Washington state based boat maker that had a contract with the government to build boats for the Vietnam War. This boat hull was built to government specs using a special fireproof resin and hand laid in the exact mold used to mold the hulls for the PBR river boats as seen in many movies including Apocalypse Now. If I can sell this boat as is for $6500 it will have a new home if not I will do a little work on her and probably sell her in the $10,000 to $12,000 range. I have attached pictures of this boat along with a picture of a similar boat on the water all cleaned up and one of the Vietnam version. Please call Doug at phone. Thank you
