Very rough condition. 1976 was a blister boat year. I bought this yacht from a salvage dealership in 2009 after it was damaged in Texas. I had it shipped to Haysville, KS where it is still located, with the intention of fixing it up and putting it back on the water.
I ended up repairing most of the blisters on the lower starboard side, and made some real headway on the lower port side, but over the years, water started getting in through the salon roof, and started working away at the other portions of the salon. I had to take out all of the original balsa sandwiched between the layers of fiberglass on the roof and started replacing it with plywood, and fiberglassing over it. It is not complete. Now however, I am going through a divorce, and I no longer have the extra time, money, or inclination to finish it.
The interior teak wood in the salon has water damage, as well as some of the wood around the top of the salon.
I do not know if it is repairable for use or not, so I am considering it salvage. It has two 454s, and I have had both engines running as of last fall. I have had the generator running also.
It will have to be moved, it has no trailer, and I have no reserve. Hopefully someone can find some use out of this old boat.
