Non-paying bidder/buyer. Relisting YET again cause classifieds board relisted it for me at the wrong starting bid. So, this is my final attempt to sell this year. If nobody bids OR I go through a "dead bet" again, I won't relist it until sprint time when boats are more of a hot commodity. Also, let me add, if you do not have a feedback number of 10 or greater, then I will block you from bidding.
Grandpa died. He bought this boat brand new in 1978. Gandma & Grandpa lived ON Lake Livingston. The boat was kept in a lifted slip is whole life. Grandpa wasn't a fisherman. He only used the boat to pull us skiing, tubing and boating around with our family. The boat has never had any holes drilled in it for "equipment". It is completely unmolested. Anyway, after his death the property and stuff (estate) was placed into pre-probate while Grandma was in an assisted living place. After she died, everything went to probate. ALL THIS TO SAY, the family purchased a used trailer and moved the boat from the slip into the garage shortly after Grandpa died. After Grandma died and the house was being put on the market, the boat was moved in and out of the garage for about 4 months. It was covered with two large tarps the whole time whether in or out of the garage. Once probate was over, I bought the boat from out family'sthe estate. The boat was always maintained by a marine shop in Livingston. After talking with them, they said the last time they had it in it needed exhaust flappers. Long story shorter, I pulled the engine to replace the flappers. While I hadthe engineout, I tore it down, replaced the oil pump, replaced all gaskets, retorqued the main and rod bearing caps, rebuilt (took apart and cleaned) the distributor, replaced the valve guide oil seals, rebuilt the carburetor, rebuilt the alternator, replaced fuel lines, replaced the stern drive water pump (whole assembly), new gear oil in stern drive and cleaned outBOTH fuel tanks and replaced with new gas and a shot of Sta-Bil gas stabilizer in each. Rebuilt trailer with new wood, new bearings, galvanized wheels, tires and a coat of Rust-Oleum paint.
I have videos from last weekend's run on the lake, but I can't seem to get them loaded or I don't know what I'm doing.Trying a link below to my Facebook where I posted the video.

Hopefully it works. Anyway, boat runs good and everything works (horn, gauges, both tanks etc). Both boat and trailer are currently registered and I've taken the boat out a few times for memories sake, but the plan was always to sell it after getting it cleaned up. It's cleaned up and ready to go. Unmolested, one owner with wood & fiberglass as solid as the day it was purchased. I think some would call this a barn find. We just call it "Grandpa's boat". Wanted to put it up for sale in the spring when it would sell FASTER, but I think people might buy it now. If I think of anything else, I will edit this. Will require a $250 NON-refundable deposit via Paypal within 24 hours after auction ends. No delivery, must pick up in person. Pick up MUST be arranged within 3 days of auction end and pick up must occur with 14 days of auctions end.
Additional info added here: added new photos from todayand some verbiage of things I forgot about.Motor rebuild photos are from June and the rest are from last weekend on the water and today with camera. The right exhaust manifoldhad a hairline crack and was replaced with a brand newSierra unit. The left exhaust rubber coupler was cracked, so I replaced it new OEM Mercruiser rubber coupler. The motor is a 198HP Mercruiser 898.Boat came with built in bimini (see photos). It is in GREAT condition. All vinyl on all parts of the boat including bimini is plush and pliable becausethe boathas always been "out of direct sunlight". Themain seats extendout flatinto "lay down" positionand retract easily as if new. Forgot to add photos of the seats extended. Once I took possession of the boat from the estate, it has continued to be protectedin a closed storage unit. Lastly, yes I have a clear title in MY NAME to the boat and the trailer is registered to me also in MY NAME.

Is this still available?
I am fairly certain this is my family's boat, and I am interested in returning it to it's home. Our place is on lake Livingston, and we stored the boat in our boat house, and frequently used VZ Marine. My grandfather was an avid skier, and this sounds almost identical to the story that we provided to Boat Angels when donating the boat. Please reach out and contact me. I really look forward to hearing back from you.
