I PURCHASED THIS BOAT LAST JUNE, EVEN THOUGH I DON'T HAVE A TRUCK TO PULL IT AS A FIXER UPPER AT A DECENT PRICE.UNFORTUNATELY I HAD A SURGERY NOT LONG AFTER AND HAD NO TIME OR ENOUGH SKILLS TO FINISH THE NEEDED REPAIRS.WHEN WE CHANGED THE OIL AND INSTALLED THE NEW FILTER, IT WAS TOTALLY FULL OF OIL AND WE CHECKED IT OVER AND SAW NO SIGNS OF ANY LEAKING OIL AT ALL. THE ENGINE APPEARS TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE OTHER THAN RUSTY BOLTS.THE BILGE PUMP WORKS AND THE TILT WILL GO DOWN AND OUT, THE WIRE THAT NEEDS REPLACE IS THE ONE THAT RAISES THE LOWER UNIT FROM THE WATER.THE GAS TANK HAS ABOUT 5 GALLONS OF NEW FUEL IN IT.BOTH THE BOAT AND TRAILER COME WITH FREE AND CLEAR TITLES THAT WILL BE HANDED OVER AT THE PURCHASETHE ENGINE IS A 1969 302 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK MERGED WITH A V8 188 HP MERCRUISER ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC THAT INSTALLED THE FLY WHEEL. EAGER TO SELL THIS. IT'S WHY I JOINED classifieds board IN THE FIRST PLACE LOL.MUST COME PICK IT UP YOURSELF. PAYMENT ON ARRIVAL TO GET IT IS MOST DESIRED.THANK YOU.GOD BLESSOn Jun-28-16 at 17:16:50 PDT, seller added the following information:
I HAD A MARINE MECHANIC COME LOOK AT THE MOTOR TONIGHT.THE REASON IT IS NOT TURNING OVER IS BECAUSE THE RE-BUILT MARINE FUEL PUMP I PURCHASED IS BROKEN. HE CHECKED THE FUEL LINES TO THE GAS TANK, THE ENGINE HOUSINGS, AND FOUND THE REST OF THE MOTOR TO BE IN GOOD RUNNING SHAPE .THE CARBURETER NEEDS CLEANED AND RE-WORKED WITH THE NEW SEALED CARB KIT INCLUDED, BUT AS FAR AS THE ENGINE GOES, ADD A FUEL PUMP, CLEAN THE CARB AND IT SHOULD FIRE RIGHT UP!!!

I INSTALLED A BRAND NEW UNIVERSAL MECHANICAL PUMP TODAY AND IT STARTED FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS. I COULDN'T START IT AGAIN AND THE BATTERY RAN OUT OF CHARGE.
THAT IS THE LATEST UPDATE.
