2007 Tahoe 204 With Trailer
My buddy and I are the second owners of this vessel and hate to sell it but we have both purchased larger boats (31 Sea Ray and 34 Sea Ray) and we have agreed that it is time to sell our toy. We purchased the boat 2 years ago from the first owner who told us he bought it off the floor from Bass Pro Shops in 2009. One of the selling points for us was that, although it is an 07, it was not placed in service until 09, so it has two years less use than your typical 07.
My partner in the boat (classifieds board user danalogy) are both music freaks so the first thing we did was put in a 600 watt Infinity amplifier, Bazooka marine / powered subwoofer, and 4 new marine Kenwood speakers. The sound system is probably the best thing about this boat (other than its race car looks) and is one of the reasons it is hard for us to sell. I assure you, there are very few boats on the water this size with this kind of sound.
The next thing we did was to refit the trailer with new springs, lights, bearings, and of course, cool looking aluminum mag wheels (are you starting to get the picture?). We have towed this boat back and forth to Key West, twice, and the trailer pulls like a dream. The trailer is not in perfect shape and it has some rust on it but I would use it to pull this boat anywhere.
In addition to the trailer, we have had this boat serviced by professional mechanics that installed a battery switch and rewired the starter and grounding cables to ensure a good connection. We have had the boat serviced regularly and had two new batteries installed in the last month. Other maintenance items include replacing one of the drive lights (mounted in front of the windshield) this month, having the starter replaced within the last 60 days, and having the sun pad on the back of the boat and the captains chair reupholstered about a year ago.
As far as performance, we installed a stainless steel prop so that this boat gets out of the hole super fast and does about 40 mph at full throttle. The 4.3 litre Mercruiser engine is very economical and will run a long time on the 40 gal gas tank. The boat does not have an hour meter so we dont know exactly how many hours are on the engine. The guy we bought it from told us he thought it had about 400 hours on it, but that is unverified. We have probably put about 200 hours on the engine, so a good guess would be 600 hours, but it is only a guess. The bottom line is that the engine runs great and we have had very few problems with it.
The boat has been stored in a dry rack undercover the entire time that we have owned it. It was stored outside before that, so the instrument panel is a little faded and there are other signs that the boat was kept outside for a while. Overall the boat is in good condition and I do not think you will find another one in this condition with the add-ons for the price. We have set the reserve low so that we can sell the boat quickly, and it is advertised locally so we reserve the right to end the auction early.
It probably goes without saying but the boat is sold as-is, where-is, and there are no warranties of any kind either express or implied. You are free to inspect the boat and/or have it inspected. We will also be happy to make the sale conditioned on a sea trial, however we will not be doing sea trials for folks that are just looking.
