'53 APBA DSH National Championship Winning Swift Hydroplane w/ Mk40H MotorUp for sale is a classic National Championship Stock Outboard Racing outfit driven by Jon Culver (Son of Merlin Culver, who was associated with APBA and Carl Kiekhaefer, the founder of Mercury Marine back in the late forties and fifties.This boat/motor has a rich history including the winning APBA championship trophy.Read more information about the rig in the attached pictures.It has been totally restored in every detail to perfection. It is ready for display and/or racing in vintage boat racing meets. Or just to have fun driving atAOMCI club meets.I will be attending the USTS national championships in DePue, Ill from July 28 thru the 31st. Joe swift was my immediate grandfather. I was born in 2000 and he died a few years prior. I recently found a book with information about him and his partner, Carl. I have now been doing research on him for the past few days. Really cool that you have a piece of my grandfathers work. :)
