Here is your chance to own a one of a kind 1946 26ft steelcraft fishing power boat!! This is the oldest know 26ft steelcraft to exist, and the only one we can find with a flying bridge!! It was the 82nd steelcraft produced in 1946, and was designed to be extremely durable and made to last. This boat has been a project of mine for the last 5 years and i just cant get time to work on it so it is time for someone else to enjoy it. We just got a new 383 stroker installed with a aluminum highflow edelbrock intake and a brand new edlebrock carburetor!! The engine was proffesionally built by oregon machine, and is rated for 410 hp!. The engine is sitting in the boat and does start by the key but it needs permantly mounted( motor mounts , fuel line, and cables installed) there is a ton of room to work on the engine and should only take a mechanic a few hours to tidey up. The engine sounds amazing, very throaty, and has a great rumble. The boat also has the original 1946 borg warner velvet drive transmission!! We just had the tranny rebuilt and it works flawlessly. We also had a couple gears upgraded so it can handle the new engine!! We have over $8500 in the engine and transmission alone. I wanted to get the boat running well before we started the cosmetics. The boat has left hand steering wheel, galley table that seats 4 bed and sink in lower cabin and a place for a bathroom. The interior needs cleaned up or redone. All of the lights on the boat itself work, we had most rewired, also most of the gauges work as well. The back deck has new plywood and carpet we installed last year. It needs cleaned up. We did put the boat in the water last year, there wasnt any leaks at all and it sat very high in the water. Mechanically most of the work has been done its time for someone to wrap it up and do cosmetics. It does come with a older steel trailer. I hauled the boat 150 miles 5 years ago but it will need new tires now. If you dont want the trailer you dont need to take it. Comes with 2 extra props..we have the brass lower steering wheel getting refinished, it will be back this week and will look like new. We need a 500 non refundable deposit within 24 hrs and rest of payment within one week. If you buy the boat and cant pick it up till spring we can have it stored for the winter at a local secure storage lot for $200.
