Sisu Bass Boat

The 22Sisu is legendary among Downeast hulls.Sisuis a Finnish word that means stamina, fortitude, and guts. This little beauty is aptly named. Originally drawn by Royal Lowell in the 1970s, her basic design is arguably the most seaworthy ever for a small powerboat. Recessed chines damp spray and add dynamic lift to her round chines as she accelerates, while an outboard bracket bolted to her transom frees up an outrageous amount of space in her cockpit.

In continuous production for more than thirty years, the Sisu 22 is a classic overachiever.

The boat will cruise at 2800 RPM @ 15 knots, and will top out above 20 knots. The boat is INCREDIBLE in chop and waves. If you want a speedboat, this is not the boat for you. If you want a beautiful downeast day-boat with a camp-overnight capability, here she is. I have not taken this boat out once without someone complimenting it.This boat has a completely re-built (under warrantee) Volvo TAMD 31 150hp turbo diesel engine. Happy to send you paperwork. Just finished break in period, just did the 10 hour oil change! I have been alternating RPM and keeping it below 75% max RPM. I also changed every filter (oil, 2 fuel filters, transmission filter) and changed Transmission fluid. Brand new raw water pump ($750).BRAND new tandem 23 gallon aluminum diesel tanks. Custom built expressly for this boat. Went in with new engine.new Wynne front windows.New drip-less seal, drive shaft, adapter. whole new fuel system re-piped, new raw water thru-hull all the way up to the engine.Raymarine ES-78 touchscreen color chartplotter / scan depth, Standard GPS/VHF, JL Audio stereo.. Canvas in new condition.Brand new hydraulic steering.New seats.Runs like a dream, very fuel efficient. Needs companionway hatch finished off, interior is clean but bare.Also has a 2-axle trailer (no title, as-is, but made it to MD from FL.)This boat is lift-kept, out of the water, dry and clean.I love the boat, but unfortunately for important family reasons must sell; the boat will be a GREAT deal for someone as I have put an enormous amount of time and money into it, and you get the benefits. • cushions for the berths down below
• maybe a coat of bottom paint if the boat will live in the water
• autobailer float switch needs work
• slow weep of water at rudder post. Easy re-bed fix. I don't bother with it since it's kept on a lift.
• maybe new batteries sooner rather than later
